It's likely that we've all, once in our lives and before it was illegal, sent one teensy tiny text while we were driving. And while the vast majority of us managed to do it without smashing into another car or a tree, the same can't be said for everyone who drives and texts. Ft. Myers, Florida driver Michael Woody, Jr. was so taken with his SMS-ing that his erratic driving caught the attention of police, who began to follow him. Not only did Woody miss the authorities in his rearview, his driving got so bad that a policeman said, "It looked like someone had a heart attack behind the wheel."

And Woody is no green teen, either - he's 23 years old. If you're looking for the day's head-scratcher, you'll find it in the video below.

He didn't climb out to safety, he nearly got thrown out from not wearing seat-belt. What a loser.

Way to be judgmental! If you know of another way to masturbate while sending sexy text messages to your girlfriend while driving AND where a restrictive seat belt, please enlighten the rest of the class. :P

The only thing that will stop him from texting is taking his toy away and sitting him in the corner. Guy needs a time out from driving as well as no cellphone for say 90 days. That will teach him. Well, teach him to text using his iPad…...

At least a 'retard' would be trying to drive.

I have never texted while driving, and the only time I've ever used a phone while driving was with a hands free setup, because I'm not an awful person.

Wow, that's really stupid! This guy is gunning for a Darwin award. Anyway, I never knew it was that easy to roll a car. Wow.

I'm guessing that he wasn't wearing his seatbelt either since he was able to climb out of the window so quickly after the crash.

I thought the same thing initially but it looks like the video was trimmed to show him climbing out. Check the oncoming car on the left.

I see txt drivers every day. They weave into lanes, do not signal, have absolutely no clue about their surroundings. I pull up beside them to check if they are drunk, incapacitated, decapitated... and they're texting. I thought about starting a kickstarter to buy one of those trucker air horns but I'd be satisfied if Texas passed a law allowing me to bump them off the road. That would be satisfactory.

Unfortunately there's no texting law here in Texas. There are, however, Ranch Hand bumpers! And they're usually on the cars of the texters...

That was horrible really. I can't believe he was texting. I've seen drunk drivers drive better than this kid did. At this point in his life he should be able to be online on his phone, surf the web, purchasing something, entering credit card information without even touching any of the lane strips. He shouldnt be called a texter, rather just a plain idiot, damn amateurs !

This is how they hit me in the middle of the door and the BMW driver tried to tell the police I jump on her lane? I ask her,how smart you have to be to used the Bluetooth standard on every BMW?

Yeah... not surprising... was head up I-95 through Central Florida once... thank goodness it was three-lanes at that point, because there was a red Tacoma driving on the center-line between two of them at 35mph... when I pulled by the driver and quickly glanced over, they were texting, holding the phone 5 inches in front of their face... not lowered, but directly in their line of sight of the road. Wish police had been around.
