A man killed in a road-rage incident in Pennsylvania called 911 several times before he was run off the road and shot multiple times.

Police believe the assailant pursued Timothy Davison, 28, across state lines from Maryland to Pennsylvania according to CNN. There is no indication Davison provoked the shooter. Davison called police twice, once from Maryland and once right before he was forced off Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania. He didn't provide much information to 911 operators.

Police are asking auto body shops to be on the look out for the suspect's car, a dark colored Ford Ranger XLT pickup truck with damage to the driver's side.

In a recent survey, conducted by the AAA Foundation, of 3,147 American drivers, 55.1 percent of respondents said that aggressive drivers are a "very serious" threat to their personal safety and 33 percent said they were a "somewhat serious" threat.

Please ask me again why I carry my 9 handily at my side all the time with 2 extra magazines for a sustained defensive posture if need be..

This is why you don't rely on cops to save you. Most times, by the time they respond ( if they even bother ) the damage is already done and they just fill out a report. You stay armed so you can protect yourself.

Wow. Did you really post that? Cops are a waste of time? You sure are disrespecting a lot of law enforcement officers. You need to know that the most dangerous 911 calls for law enforcement are not break ins or robberies but domestic abuse calls and nut jobs like this creep that chased this guy down is not someone who I'd want to tangle with. I hope they catch this creep and put him away for life.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

The cops will never catch him. Cops are stupid, cheats, liars, lazy and thieves. We'd be better off in our society without cops. and I don't wanna hear that lame excuse 'who would you call if' I've never called a cop and I never will. Who you gonna call IBDOOWOP when they bend you over.

3rdeye, you are the dumbass in this thread.  I have PERSONALLY saved 4 lives by having a gun at hand when it was needed.  I did even have to fire it.  The bad guy just went away quietly.  I was only 13.  Since nobody bled, it never made the news, like thousands of such stories every year.

Most of the time 911 is just to report a crime or incident. It will not protect you unless you're real lucky and they can get to you in time. You must protect and defend yourself untill they can reach you. All fair in love and war and if someone is trying to harm you"go for what you know". Use whatever means is necessary to acheive the means of self protection. A car can be used in a defensive way if you "think" about it and are determined. # 1 is your own self preservation.

with all the cameras on the highway, finding this murderer should be pretty easy.

911 is great but I'll rely on my .45 until the police arrive.

and so everyone should carry a gun in your estimation, right? Not everyone is a gun enthusiast. Have you ever shot from a moving vehicle at a moving vehicle? It is not easy when your standing still much less moving especially when your being shot from behind.

No, not everyone should have guns. But having one for protection as a last resort can help. As someone who carried because of my job. I had several occasions where I could have used my weapon, but didn't. The responding officers let the offenders know that I was well within my legal rights to defend myself with lethal force, but didn't. A gun is truly a last resort when you have no other choice.

Was the police watching a football game? District Attorney should investigate if law enforcement were slow in acting to save that person!

ALL State Troopers, NO LONGER Patrol the Highways, but are contracted out, to the City's to do Street Patrol for Illegally Parked Cars with Expired Registration, to be Towed!?! That's what's going on in California anyway!! There's big $$$$$$$$ profits in Car Towing & Storage Fee's!! The Police respond after the excitement is all over!?! My house was burglerized, and I called 911, and was told to make sure the house was empty, and then wait two days, for the Police to come out, and take a report, and NOT take fingerprints!?! The Police showed NO Signs of wanting to investigate who was the Perps. of the crime!!

The liberals should make that stretch of highway a gun free zone to prevent this from happening in the future. It works great for the schools. What better place to attack people than a "gun free zone"? Don't see police stations hit very often if all.

If every gun was registered and the owners held responsible for them when first purchased most of the criminals wouldn't have guns. 80% of all guns used in crimes are purchased privately with no background checks.

PS the cops are good, there is not enough of them on the night shift as the majority have to deal with major crime during the day and accidents.
