Around this same time last year, Mitsubishi used the Montreal Auto Show for the North American introduction of its 2014 Mirage. This year, the Japanese automaker will reveal the sedan version of the subcompact wearing the Mirage G4 nameplate, according to the auto show's website and a couple of fresh teaser images.

We got our first look at this Mirage sedan as previewed by the Concept G4 at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, and the production version of that sedan ended up wearing the Attrage name in Thailand and other global markets. There's no official information from Mitsubishi at this time about the Mirage G4, but we wouldn't be surprised to see the small sedan follow the same path as the hatchback, showing up for a US debut at the New York Auto Show before going on sale in the fall. Check out the teaser images in the gallery below.

If it's priced appropriately I think it will be fine. No nonsense commuting, so what it's a appliance, enthusiast have plenty of options these days we don't have enough humble cars.

In case that AB doesn't run the story ... I just read in La Presse ... The Montreal Auto Show will also have the Canadian premiere of the NISSAN MICRA --which will only be sold in Canada. http://auto.lapresse.ca/actualites/nissan/201401/09/01-4727231-la-micra-est-de-retour-pour-nous-seulement.php?utm_categorieinterne=trafficdrivers&utm_contenuinterne=cyberpresse_B2_auto_508450_accueil_POS3

That's hideous. First it was the Versa, now this? Can't believe the same company that designed nice cars in the 90's came out with this atrocity.

Mitsu plans on selling 7000 a year in the U.S., they delivered over 1300 in Dec, more than Mazda did with the 2 and some Scion products, not a bad start!

I would rather drink warm beer out of a used condom than drive a subcompact POS from Mitsubishi.

Based on those two photos ... it looks like the rear end of a Versa sedan, the front end of a Ford (which itself is from an Aston), and the name lifted from Pontiac. Nonetheless, this article has reminded me that the auto show is coming!

Mitsubishi didn't get the memo. Teasers are appropriate for redesigned big-sellers like Accords and Fusions, and sports cars and icons like the Corvette and M5. Nobody is going to care what the Mirage sedan looks like because nobody will ever see one, let alone buy one.
