A mother and child were quickly reunited Monday after her car was towed while her daughter slept in the back seat.

Brandy Taylor was picking up another child from a relative living at an apartment complex in Harris County, Texas, when her car was towed, according to KHOU 11. She didn't see the posted warning signs regarding the complex's stringent parking policy. Her car was towed with her four-year-old daughter still asleep in the back seat.

Taylor called 911 and police stopped the truck driver before it got to the impound lot. Her daughter slept through the entire ordeal. KHOU said police are not filing charges at this time.

      With the exception of the Police Department = Everyone else involved is wrong in far too many ways to mention. This should serve as a lesson to many however it has happened before with worse results and - well - here we are again.

      Why do the most ignorant actions come out of Texas? I swear they need to secede now, Texas is such a burden and hinderance to a happier, more educated & enlightened America. Egads, the more you think about it the more embarrassed you become knowing Texas is part of your USA. Austin excluded.

        And yet here you are, idiotic words and all, from outside of Texas. "Most Ignorant Actions Come Out of Texas"? I would say that honor falls to the states with the mass murder of children and drug addictions. Thanks for proving your own theory wrong by opening your own mouth though. Have a nice day!

        I hope you get ran over by a semi truck.

      All of you blaming the two truck driver are absolute idiots. A 4-year-old child weighs about 25 pounds. It's a small kid. If the kid is under a blanket, what do you want the guy to do? Open the car and go snooping around inside? It's simple. No kid in the car, no issue here. Kid in the car, problems. Mom's fault and I use the term "mom" loosely.

      Do you realize how long it takes for your car to get towed? And she left her four-year-old in the car that long? She should be arrested and charged.

      They never see the signs, and they always are 'only there for a minute'. You know I wish these mopes would come up with something that is a little more interesting excuse.

          Racist? Where the heck do you get that from? People of all races abuse the welfare system. Seems like you are extremely defensive. Does this mean you have some guilt yourself?

      Unfortunately they do not administer an IQ test before letting a baby go home with its mother.

      "Brandy was picking up another child from a relative and left her car in the lot for just a moment." It takes more than a "moment" to get towed!

        You've obviously never watched "Operation Repo". It takes just a couple of minutes to hook up and drive away.

          She made the error .... per KHOU ..... "The lot where the mother parked had several signs warning about towing enforcement" Park in the visitor spot, unless you're too lazy to walk and want to suffer the consequences!

        Actually- have you seen some of these "waiting" tow trucks? They literally sit in lots and are there in a minute of two (literally) and then another 3-5minutes to tow your car. They are THAT FAST.

        False statement. Most modern systems take less than 30 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qsvAvb5NMQ

      All the people on here saying someone CALLED the tow truck company are foolish. When a company has a contract with a complex they are usually some where close. Some companies even sit and watch and wait for violators and as soon as they leave their vehicle they hook and go. Some companies drive through a complex every few minutes looking for them. Its CAPITALISM at work. Its how they make their money! FYI a majority of you on here have done the same thing. Left your child/animal in a vehicle thinking I will be right back. People are so quick to pass judgment on others. The tow truck driver is at fault for not having met his obligation to make sure there were no individuals in the car. They are not suppose to tow a vehicle with an occupant in it. It is a legal and insurance liability so they are at fault. She will pay too for parking where she shouldn't have been. I bet that company will be sure to check the vehicles before they pull this stunt again.

        So, now tow truck drivers have the responsibility of going in someone's car? That is illegal. You don't leave a 4-year-old child in a car alone for any amount of time. You must not be a parent. This lady needs to be arrested and charged. Why do people always feel the need to shift the blame but they screw up?

      that is still kidnaping. driver should be held accountable for his actions.
        • 1 Year Ago
        @chuck
        Kidnapping requires INTENT. If the tow truck driver wasn't aware of the child, there can be no intent. The mother needs to be proscecuted.

        @chuck
        So, if the child is under a blanket in the back seat and he's towing the car, he's supposed to know a child is in the car? You're an idiot.

        That is not kidnapping. That is bad parenting. No one should leave their child in their car unattended.

        No, Chuck, it is what happens when people reproduce yet don't have a clue about parenting. The driver did nothing wrong.
