Friday was the night of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series annual Champion's Awards banquet, and the host, comedian Jay Mohr, cracked off some jokes about Danica Patrick that visibly rubbed her (and her fellow NASCAR-driver boyfriend, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.) the wrong way.

We're not going to judge Mohr's jokes, but we will say that most of them referenced her disappointing past Sprint Cup season, though a couple of them arguably toed the line between gender-based and gender-neutral. Watch the compendium video below, then tell us what you think: did Mohr cross the line?

Hell with her and her scrub boyfriend. Get over it. Lighten up and laugh it up. I get it, she gets made fun of, a lot, but at an awards show you think it's serious business. Get over yourself honey. If you're that serious about yourself, try keeping your clothes on for one of your sponsor's commercials next time.

I... have to agree with this. The GoDaddy commercials are purely for sex appeal to use their stupid webhosting and she knows it.

She is very thin skinned, which makes it better yet. Jay Mohr never should have backpedaled on his jokes just because she is so insecure. I have seen and heard her in many interviews and she is always standoffish and unlikable. And pimping herself out for those GoDaddy.com commercials in a bikini puts her front and center for anything that comes her way.

Though the jokes weren't particularly funny, Danica and Ricky could have played along a bit more. Does it hurt to crack a smile? I was in the audience at another award show Jay Mohr hosted this year and he did a phenomenal job keeping the momentum going for 2 hours, I respect him.

Maybe Danica didn't expect a roast. I don't think Jay Mohr crossed the line, but even if he did, Danica should have just laughed it off.

To this unbiased and uninterested viewer I'd have to say he was pretty funny. I think it hurt because it was so close to the truth. She knows it...

      She's way too thin skinned.

Lucky for him he didn't get girly punched after exiting the stage, nevertheless he's a good comedian. But the boyfriend dude looks more embarassed than her, she probably has him whipped off-track also...

Stenhouse is sitting next to her knowing if he even cracks a smile he is toast!

She knows, and everybody else knows that she's only there to draw viewers back to an ailing racing series. Nobody really cares if you win races or not Danica, because you garner plenty of attention whether you win races or not. That's exactly what NASCAR was hoping for. Now, please stop taking yourself so seriously, and hey, if you win some races along the way, then good for you.

Jay Mohr is such a good guy in life and as pro comedian. I wish he didn't feel he needed to apologize, but I'm sure he had his reasons. As far as DP is concerned now I feel it is ok to laugh at Tosh's comedy bit. DP is so lame to not just play along with such softball jokes. This bit will give her something to grimace at!
