Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has quite a checkered reputation on and off the football field, and he's become as notable for his activities away from the NFL as he has his performances on the gridiron. One thing he hasn't been that well-known for, however, is his interest in automobiles. That may change, however, as he's just opened a website dedicated to motor vehicles, ShowMike.com.

"I love football, but many fans may not know that I am a big-time car enthusiast," Vick relates.

The website is billed as an interactive online showroom, where you can see other celebrities' cars. In addition, you can create an account, upload pictures of your own car, truck, SUV, motorcycle, ATV or boat, and interact with other enthusiasts. Every week, Vick says he'll pick his favorite vehicle uploaded to the website and feature it on the home page.

If you want the lowdown on the site from Vick himself, check out the video below, where you can also find a press release.

Car enthusiasts can contribute to ShowMike.com by adding rides, uploading pictures, and joining groups. Viewers can search and engage with other ShowMike.com members and see what other custom work ShowMike.com members are adding.

"If you appreciate cars, check out my rides and upload your car," said Vick. "I might just pick your vehicle to highlight on the site."

Why do the NFL and colleges allow the exploitation of uneducated guys like this? Yes, he is a rich idiot, but someone might have taught him better along the way, rather than using him for an athletic beast. He sounds like an SNL skit of himself.

Because the NFL is a billion dollar entertainment industry. And often those types are what sells.

So, let me get this straight. Did Michael Vick just attempt to reinvent CarDomain... which has been in existence since 1998?!

This is Car effex which is Vick's aftermarket tuner's attempt at a mini social networking site. Just visited Car Effex's site and they are a horrible customizer, I have never seen a company ruin soooooo many vehicles with bad wheel choices and graphics, plus half of the vehicles they photograph are stock.

I guess he needs something to fall back on since he can't stay healthy for an entire NFL season.

I was expecting more comments about how badly designed the website is and how ugly his cars look. Instead, I find a bunch of comments about his prior criminal allegations. What the hell guys. Get over it. It's done.
