Cadillac, in case you haven't heard, is unveiling the new Escalade on October 7, completing the redesign of General Motors' large SUV range. The event is proceeding with the regular degree of "teasers" and "leaked images" that is typical of the automotive world, nowadays.

As the new Escalade's reveal date grows closer, Cadillac is trumping up interest for the new SUV, debuting five short teaser videos on its YouTube channel. While not showing much about the Escalade itself, the spots reveal plenty about its materials. Real wood and hand-stitched leather are highlighted, while we get another glimpse of the Escalade's vertically oriented headlights. Take a look below for all five spots.

      Rappers don't care about craftsmanship.

      I imagine this time there will be greater speration between the Escalade and a Denali or a Tahoe LTZ, and GM is wanting to share that. I also imagine there will still be a dozen hater comments about rappers and pimps being the only market for these vehicles. They must all have white soccer mom suburbanite housewives and maids that drive them because that\'s the majority of people I see behind the wheel of these.

      Does this mean the interior on the new one won't look like a Tahoe with fancy gauges?

      Dash is completely different - the whole SUV is from the Chevy and GMC. They know its the American S-class and are finally treating it as such.

        GM SUV's do not have leaf springs. The only ones that did were 2500 Suburban and Yukon XL.

          Funny, I had only looked at the Yukon specs (2104 model) previously, I didn't notice that the Tahoe and Suburban had switched to leafs in the rear. Seems odd that they would build the Chevrolet with leafs and GMC with coils. I wonder if the press release is incorrect re Chevrolet?

      I never thought I would even consider this but after seeing what Chevy's done with the Corvette and the strides in performance and luxury that Cadillac is making, it might be time for an XLR revival.

        @Brex
        The XLR is dead, we need the Elmiraj. Leave the Corvette platform to Chevy to focus on beating the 911, GT-R, and 458.
