Sabine has been dethroned. The Queen of the Ring, Sabine Schmitz, was finally bested in a Larea GT1 S9 Evo track car on her home track, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, by her friend and fellow Ring instructor Ron Simons. The two have taken part in two other contests, with the first running on the Ring and the second on a soggy Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Naturally, you can view those videos, courtesy of RSRNurburgring, without leaving the cozy confines of Autoblog.

For this third contest, the two returned to the Nürburgring, where Schmitz was defeated. She offered up a few racer's excuses, although she admitted at first that it wasn't fun beating Simons all the time. Take a look below for the full on-board video of Simons at the wheel of the Larea. For some reason, there doesn't seem to be footage of Sabine lapping the track.
