A woman in Fayetteville, N.C., slipped from the grasp of a police officer and stole his cruiser on Labor Day.
The officer was responding to calls of a suspicious person with a weapon. When a police officer arrived, he found 21-year-old Ayana Kennyatta Taylor wielding a hammer. Multiple people tried to assist the officer in making an arrest, but they failed. Even after being zapped with a Taser, police could not subdue her.
Bystander Sydney Jones caught the scuffle on video. Jones decided not to pursue the chase after seeing Taylor's wild actions. ABC WTVD reports Taylor went on to crash the police car into three other cars before she was taken into custody. After a trip to the hospital, she was charged with assault of a police officer with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
