The lovable, anthropomorphic hamsters from Kia are known for electronic dance music, head bopping, and of course, a certain funktastic Korean box-on-wheels. With a new Soul on the way, the adorable rodents need to be ready to appear alongside the resculpted crossover. Only one thing could get them ready in time - cue the training montage.

The commercial, called Totally Transformed, features Lady Gaga playing in the background, along with gratuitous footage of the hamsters shedding some weight. The Kia designers also get some attention, as they're hard at work designing the hamsters' new ride. Take a look below for the full, 91-second spot.

I wonder how much they had to pay to use that song.

I think the car is neat looking but I have three major issues with the car that prevent me from ever owning one. 1.Its too slow and mediocre fuel economy. 2. Too common, I like unique small volume cars, I don't want to see 40 of them every time I'm on a highway. 3. Its a Kia, and I honestly I don't trust Kia's "self proclaimed" quality just yet...

2 and 3 are very subjective. It's a great car for buzzing around town, but at high speeds it's a bouncy car and shows its economy-class design.

So, the first Kia Soul has come and gone... Yet we have yet to see anything from Scion... XB anyone? Love the xB just gotten stale... Kudos to KIA for not letting the same happen to the Soul..

Just like Scion did with the xB, Kia made the new Soul fatter, and with worse fuel economy.

How do you know that since it hasn't been reviewed by anyone yet?

Did Kia happen to 'transform' the fact that the latest Soul crash test is actually kind of sickening to watch. When a passenger compartment deforms that much, never good! A little more time on a sound design and a little less on tiresome marketing please.

Did they test the 2014 Soul already?

I hope the reviews treat it better. I've always liked this car but I've yet to meet woman that didn't say "heck no." Oh well...

I though the hamster idea was played out. I was wrong. Well played, Kia, well played.
