Between the GLA Concept and recent spy shots, the cat was pretty much out of the bag as to what the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class would look like. Still, that isn't stopping Mercedes from keeping the excitement up for its new small crossover until the official unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

As a nice little teaser for this new model, Mercedes released some design sketches of the A-Class-based crossover on its Facebook page. Click the above image to see both drawings of the GLA, which by the caricature-like shape could very well be some of the early sketches that shape what the production model will ultimately look like. We'll see the GLA in full production form next month with sales beginning early next year.

How in the world did they derive the abomination that is the camo'ed prototype from that sketch?

Currently there is only one small cuv that looks good and that is the evoque. Somehow they manage to make it look tough and modern at the same time and very much a landrover. As long as you stay away from the spicegirl two tone paint and crazy rapper style 20 inch rims it can be a real looker. Personally the pure model with the overseas 18 inch rims and some offroad style tires are a perfect looks for this. Kinda like a mini cooper, if you get the right color and stay away from the ugly rims and stickers the mini is a classic yet modern and unique look. I find myself hoping for the right look for the new mustang with a v8, short of that a Classic looking evoque, 2014 mini or Ford Focus will be next car in my garage.

Wow I didn't think that they could make the GLA any uglier but.....I stand corrected.

      Now that's some false/misleading marketing.

Mercedes has become far too predictable.
