It's no surprise that for the newest episode of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, airing for the first time on the 4th of July, that a couple of American classics are involved. You'll Never Play the Copa unites Seinfeld with legendary curmudgeon Don Rickles, driving around in a stunner of a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Seville in Gleneagles Green (upholstery wrapped in Grandma-spec plastic, of course).

Mr. Rickles really steals the show in this one – maybe our favorite CiCGC to date – though the Eldorado plays a strong-jawed costarring role, for sure. Stories about Ronald Regan, Frank Sinatra, Billy Graham and, of course, Herkie Styles are more than worth the price of admission. Check it out below.

Great bit, Great Classic American Car... sponsored by Acura. My family has bought GM basically our entire life. In regard to PR, a skit like this should be sponsored by GM. Good publicity, showcases their brand, great American comedians. I'm no marketing exec, but something tells me this would work. Please hold off on the Gov't Motors comments. Ya bastids.

Probably the best episode yet! All these years and Rickles hasn't lost a step!

I liked the 59 fleetwood in that color better, we called it turquoise. the power wing vents were pretty slick. The 59 biarritz eldo was quite nice.

Yeah but WHY aren't car shapes changing? You can bemoan the sameness of today's stylings all you want but those old cars have been rendered dinosaurs for a reason, and that's aerodynamics, baby!

Alright, who else said to themselves " Don Rickles is still alive?" Don't flame me you "Hockey Pucks"

Don Rickles, Ed Asner, and Abe Vigoda are people I always, for some reason, assume passed away years ago.

And I'm always happy to be reminded they haven't.
