Ten Elderly Women Escape Limo Fire
Just one month after a limo fire killed 5 people.
Another frightening limousine fire happened in California on Sunday morning. Elain Lofchie was celebrating her 90th birthday with six friends and three caregivers when the 2008 Lincoln Town car stretch limo they were sitting in caught fire. The limo was parked when the elderly women say they saw smoke rising from the vehicle.
Passenger Mary Chapman told KGO-TV that the more able bodied women got out first to help the ladies who needed walkers or canes. All but two of the women are in their nineties. All ten women and the driver survived the fire. This fire comes only a month after another limo caught fire while on San Mateo Bridge, killing five women inside.
