A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.

CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.

I really need to see a video of this because I watched this news clip over and over and still can't understand how it killed a woman on top of a silver jeep. I don't even see a silver jeep in the first shot when he was on top of the other one.

Seriously! And I don't see how it has the driver's side tires up in that video, but appears to have flipped over in the OPPOSITE direction in the "aftermath" shots.

http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Edmonton+Jeep+community+deal+with+unimaginable+loss/8407517/story.html "Police said the driver of an orange Jeep was doing a climbing demonstration; he pulled up alongside a parked Jeep, then drove his driver’s side front wheel onto the passenger’s side wheel of the parked Jeep. The demonstration is meant to show the flexibility of the Jeep’s suspension. Both Jeeps were facing west, toward a silver Jeep parked, facing east, about five or six metres away. "Instead of backing off the parked Jeep’s tire, the orange Jeep suddenly sped forward and crashed head-on into the silver Jeep, its huge passenger’s side tires climbing up the hood. "The orange Jeep then tipped over sideways. The woman was standing in front of the silver Jeep and was crushed. Paramedics performed CPR but she was pronounced dead in hospital."

So what I can tell so far is the orange jeep drove up on top of the other black jeeps tire. The orange jeep driver then got out of the vehicle and it either drove forward and crushed a lady on top of the silver jeep, or it flipped over completely and crushed someone on top of the silver jeep. In the shot the silver jeep looks far away though I don't understand how.

at :39 there's a woman sticking out of the top of a Jeep in the right hand corner (under the London Drugs sign). It's a reminder that people who can't imagine what could go wrong, are usually the ones standing in the path of someone doing something dangerous, like rally spectators during the storied Group B season that ended it. It's why events should have safety rules and marshals, although I doubt anyone here thought horsing around in the lot could result in someone getting hurt/killed.

Wow Plateau, that's some bubble you're living in. Tell me, when was the last time you tried to haul construction materials in a Honda Accord, tow a boat, camper, or horse trailer with a Toyota Prius, or 4-wheeling in a Ford Focus? Have you ever tried to take the doors off, and put the top down on a Chevy Cruze when the weather gets nice? I guess with enough will and creativity, some of those things might be possible, but a little sketchy. Others would require very expensive and time consuming modifications that would leave any sane individual scratching their heads. If you are indeed not trolling then I suggest you might want to step outside of your tight little clique of desk jockeys or wanna-be "starving artists" at the downtown coffee shop because it appears that your perception and understanding of the world plateaued at some point.

I don't remember the last time I saw someone's comment get down ranked in to the double digits. Let alone twenty something double digits.

I wouldn't be completely surprised if he was one of those jug heads that was out vandalizing dealerships and torching all of the new Hummers on the lot. At the very least, he probably viewed what they were doing as a righteous deed.
