This bizarre smash-and-splash left repair crews fishing a sedan out of a pool with a crane. Security cameras captured the driver as she headed northbound in the southbound lanes of A1A in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She narrowly avoids hitting other cars. The car jumps a sidewalk, taking out an electrical box and hitting a car parked in the front of the Ocean Mile Inn parking lot. The rental car was pushed through a fence and right into the pool by the force of the rear-end collision.

CBS Miami reports that the driver was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but luckily there was no one in the pool at the time of the accident. Police have not identified a cause of the crash.
