Hennessey Performance Engineering has created an HPE650 package for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT fitted with the 6.4-liter Hemi engine. When it leaves the showroom floor it has 470 horsepower and gets from 0-60 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds. When it leaves Hennessey's garage floor after the upgrade it has 650 horsepower – 530 hp at the wheels, according to Hennessey – and gets to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds on its way to running the quarter-mile in 12.6 seconds.

There's more than just a Roots-type supercharger bolt-on, with ported cylinder heads and high-flow headers among the many changes made to the engine. You can watch this pre-2014 facelift silver model prove its spec sheet on the drag strip in the video below.

Hennessey: constantly proving the world that with enough power even a wall-mounted toilet can accelerate from 0-60 in less than 4 seconds.

OK, so an ugly box can go fast in a straight line, how exciting...oh and roll over on a slight bend...what a complete and utter waste of time.

So it won't corner like a Corvette or a Lotus, but the Jeep SRT-8 suspension is sorted. Edmunds Track Tested: Slalom 2012 SRT8 Jeep - 67.2 2013 FR-S Scion (stock tires)- 67.5 Skidpad Jeep .87g FR-S (stock tires) .89g Again real sports cars w/real tires can do better, but you can't say the they is a typical SUV Re: handling.

10 years ago my ass... He was ripping of gtr owners as recently as 2010, and the hack job work is well documented. All I was pointing out is how outrageously overpriced everything the sell is. (he was buying hks 570 kits, re branding them as hpe600 kits, and marked them up. He even used hks pictures on the website. He then later bought Chinese crap parts... vs. The hks)

You could just..... buy a lighter vehicle making half the power and go just as fast, much more cheaply and not feel the pain of what 8-10 miles per gallon? I want to love this thing but I can't because it's still slower than christmas with all this supposed power. All bark no bite.

All I can say for all the negative posts. 1) You have never driven an SRT8 Jeep (stock or otherwise) 2) If you would drive one your might just get a wake up call. 3) Hennessey makes it quicker/faster. 4) This one is not the 8 speed ZF as the 2014s have which will only make it better. 5) Show me anything in it's price range and I mean anything that will put up the kind of numbers this thing will and still tow your boat, your camper, etc. and hall 4-5 comfortably. 6) I know that all the die hard Jeep fans complain about it not being able to go off road however, it will probably go better than you think and most people don't take there JGC off-road anyway. The off road people buy Wranglers.....

For the price Hen charges for this, I could buy a proper sports car, an SRT Jeep, a pickup, and a boat. Also, the year it would take to get your car back you could be driving.
