Kevin Reimer has an interesting career and a fascinating car. The resident of Vancouver, BC is a professional downhill skateboarder – which we now know is a thing you can be – who sees a lot of commonality between his extreme occupation and his cherry 1991 Nissan Skyline GT-R.

The subjects of the latest Petrolicious joint, Racing Champions, Reimer waxes philosophical about skateboarding and driving down some of the same routes. You'll not be surprised to hear that riding the curves of a mountain slope, be it on a deck or in a bucket seat, both rely on grip and nerve in various measure. Scroll down to see for yourself, and don't miss the rest of our Petrolicious library when you're done.

Lucky Canadians - they can import sweet JDM stuff like once it turns 15 years old.

Nope. Most of the S&D cars have been siezed as well. For some reason the US government has an incredibly intense hard on for keeping GTRs out of America. It's getting absolutely ridiculous.

Beautiful BNR32. I also own a BNR32 ('93) and I'm appalled that he runs 20lbs of boost. I run my car at maximum 16PSi, and even I think I'm overdoing it, since it's recommended not to exceed 14. I'm also surprised there's no bubbles in his dash. It's a common problem with these cars. In any case, very cool! Definitely digging his CE28N's too!

The stock block will handle at least 20 pounds with ease (on smallish turbos). The "14 psi limit" was for the ceramic wheel T28 turbos they ran, which are all but guaranteed to fail and take the engine with them over 15 psi, and they are getting way out of their efficiency range up there anyway. That car looks very comprehensively built, I'm betting he has an upgraded turbo set up in it.

He could have built the block and parts to handle the extra boost.

What does he drive? Who gives a crap? If I'm going to read an AB article, I want it to be so dumb, so over the top, like a Saudi Prince driving a Lambo with tires made of pure gold and Einsteinium that my brain literally leaks out my ear. But this? It's about a Canadian and a Nissan. Can't wait to rub one out to this. ugh.

So a beautifully shot video of a beautiful and brutally fast car doesn't do anything for you? Why are you here again?

Id say most people would rather have an R34 over a Supra.

The GT-R is most certainly the "King" with the BNR32 being the first "modern" GT-R to wear that title. The Supra is a great car, but only really in a straight line. Most of them are dyno-kings anyways. Also, with a name like "AE86" and the favorite car being a "Supra", I think it's pretty obvious that you like Toyota's, and are probably partial to them.

THAT"S a REAL GTR! With a MANUAL transmission! Not that video-game paddle shifter abomination called Godzilla! I would choose the Skyline in a heartbeat!

I love driving, but there is NO feeling in the world like bombing down a hill like that on a longboard. Driving sports cars, fast motorcycles, NOTHING compares to the feel and thrill of longboarding. In part because, compared to those other activities, it's scary as hell.

And then it got excluded from the race rules because Ford and Holden didn't like losing to it. Especially in a series they invested heavily into. What they should have done was change the rules exclusively be RWD, and Naturally Aspirated. Then the Skyline would have had a tough time. Anyway, big respect for this guy. R32 is the best of the breed.
