The purpose-built Carbon Motors E7 is a police officer's dream patrol vehicle. It features infrared observation cameras, license plate recognition software, custom seats with cutouts for equipment, and unique rear-hinged "coach" doors for easier loading of perps. Carbon Motors VP Stacy Dean Stephens calls the massive touch display in the center council the "heart of the vehicle," known as ORCA: Onboard Rapid Command Architecture. Unfortunately, it appears this hi-tech cop car will never hit the streets, but we're glad to have taken it for a spin prior to Carbon Motors shutting down operations.

This American Govt is Americas gravest threat. These are SOCIALIST ELITISTS that don't believe in COMPETITION from "new" companies. These corruptacrats use all GOVT resources (our money) and Buracracy (IRS) to kill anything that attempts to compete with the "established" auto industry. Americans should have encircled DC after the fraudulent elections of 2012... The Lamp Posts in DC should be enshrined as the last place Nancy Piglosi, 0bama, Reid etc etc took their last breaths on Earth... Whats wrong with US all?

Dont worry, the Saudi's or Chinese will buy the company. Ford, chrysler and GM will loose sales everywhere in the world except in the U.S. at which time they will complain they cant compete in those markets. The U.S. looses again due to short sightedness.

The Carbon Motors police vehicle has a lot of great ideas built into it. It's too bad the company didn't survive. Starting a new car company today takes a lot of $$$$$. I'm not sure why it takes so much money but it does. It's a miracle that Tesla is doing as well as it is. Maybe it's because it was able to partner with Toyota that it's still in business.

It's too bad they went out of business. I had high hopes. Oh well. Hopefully Ford will make a hybrid option for their new Taurus police interceptors so it'll get good MPG and high reliability as well.

Hopefully the Chinese will buy rights to this vehicle and produce for other markets; the U.S. (i.e., GM, Ford, Chrysler) don't want it and actively killed its chances of coming to market here.
