From the same guys who brought us video of a street-legal Porsche 962C driving through the streets of Japan comes this latest video showing Le Mans-winning pro driver, Seiji Ara, lapping Fuji Speedway in a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. Most of the video centers around Ara's impressions, but there is plenty of great video showing the supercar carving up the track's numerous turns and blasting along its lengthy front straightaway.

Ara says this is the most powerful car he's ever driven, so we imagine it was as much for fun for him to drive as it is for us to watch. During the drive, the camera provides a sense of what it's like to pilot the Veyron on such a challenging track, and you can hear its turbos and wastegates getting a workout. Scroll down to watch this well-shot, well-edited video of Ara and the Veyron lapping Fuji Speedway. Oh, and be sure to stick around for the end, as there's a bonus three-way drag race you won't want to miss.

      That Veyron looks really good with that white/black body combo with black rims.

      Thanks for 6' of watching this ugly japanese guy talking about the Veyron. By the way, how old is this guy? Do japanese people ever age? And did they really translate all he said, or just half? Just looked like he was talking a lot more than was being translated at the bottom.

        I always had a hunch dumpmestic fanboyism was partly motivated by racism. Thanks for proving me right.

          I was being sarcastic about the japanese part, except he does use a lot of words, to pass convey fairly simple messages. However, just because this is a video about a Veyron, then it must be awesome, even if out of the 6+ minutes it went on for, they showed maybe 1'-2' of action. I don't need to say that despite how remarkable the Veyron's power is, its an incomplete project. As I've said before, neither its breaks, tires or fuel reservoir are projected for the car. I appreciate the concept of a car that can go over 400 km/h (or over 250 mph, for those not on the metric system), but the truth is, this is just a more sophisticated muscle car. At its limit, its marginally safer than any pimped out turbo'd to hell Corvette. Its not like a Ferrari, or a BMW, which are cars that have all their aspects designed to perform equally - breaks, handling, cabin structure, etc (each to the standard of its capability). Of course, don't let me spoil it for you, go ahead and have your perfo-rgasm.

          Yeah, go spend US$ 1 million + US$ 300.000 a year to drive at the exact same speed as everyone else. Go spend your money, to be able to drive for 15' at top speed in a track, and then have to spend tens of thousands of dollars on new tires. Go spend your money, so you can kill yourself because you can't break for **** (even though the car's got the biggest breaks in the market, but who can break at 400km/h?) or fly off the road if you go over anything at that speed (of course you won't even have time to react)

      Bugatti: just take off the limiter and call it a day Venom: if only I had an extra length of road

        @JonathanBond
        What are you trying to say? Having a 5 mile straightaway vs a 2 mile straight is actually one hell of a difference, it was clear during the run that the Venom was still not even close to its true top speed. Of course, they didnt beat 268 so they are still second place to the Veyron, even if it would only ever go 268 in one place in the world Bugatti would let you remove the limiter.
