We'll admit to having been pretty irritated at the NASCAR-centric programming at Speed in the past, but never to the point of stripping down to our bare backsides and terrorizing the company's offices.

That's exactly what one unidentified man did early Monday morning in Charlotte, NC. Police responded shortly after the individual entered the building, and while he started by tearing papers off of the wall, he soon moved on to dumping trash cans and flinging trophies around. After realizing that law enforcement was on the scene, the man attempted to make a run for it.

Police quickly caught up with the perpetrator, however. It's unclear if he's facing charges for his sans-clothing antics. Listen, guy, we're pretty sure there are better ways to tell Speed to bring back its WRC coverage.

      Hopefully this will SPEED up the demise. I quit watching Speed over a year ago except for F1, and now I have zero reasons to even find the channel.

      To paraphrase the late actor David Niven at the 46th Oscars Show, after a streaker ran across the stage behind him, "Ladies and gentlemen, it's fascinating to think that probably the only laugh that man will ever get in his life is by stripping off and showing his shortcomings." Overall, I can't help but wonder just what made this guy make that leap in logic to somehow believe that vandalizing the "Speed" offices naked would actually be a better decision than committing the crime fully clothed? I'm not sure what "condition" this guy may have been when arrested, but this may be one of those rare cases where being stone sober doesn't help his criminal case.

      I was originally interested in the Speed channel, until I realized that Dish charges more for it, and (as you said) it's heavily NASCAR oriented. Now Dish gives me Discovery's Velocity channel free with basic service (along with the best price for monthly service. Dish... You can give me a discount for this plug if you'd like). And Velocity has "All Girls Garage", Motorweek, Wheeler Dealers (they cleaned up a Mk1 MR2 like mine recently), Mecum Auction, Chasing Classic Cars, and more.

        @Mark S
        Yeah but you have to step up 2 levels on DISH to get NBC Sports Network and F1. :-(
