Honda concept rendering for Shanghai Motor Show 2013With the Shanghai Motor Show coming up later this month, Honda has released a couple of teaser sketches for two concept vehicles that will be making global debuts. Aside from the renderings, there is no information about either the Honda or Acura concept vehicles, but we can tell that both are some sort of utility vehicle, be they of crossover or people-mover variety.

The text for both images indicates that both concepts show future products that will be launched in China, but there is no mention as to what other markets the automaker has planned for these vehicles. In addition to these two concepts, the NSX Concept and 2014 RLX from Acura will make their Chinese debuts, and Honda says it "will display models substantially identical to the mass-production version of the Concept C and Concept S." The Concept C is will be a "middle-class" sedan built for China, and the Concept S, an MPV that will primarily serve China as well.

      I bet if there was no picture included in this article, these cars would still be criticized for being "boring" "ugly" and we would still see the same comments, "Honda has lost their way" "Acura sucks" "Get rid of the beak"

      Have they envisioned a future WITHOUT humungous chrome grille pieces?

      Why does Honda even bother to call their cars 'designs'.. pretty sad when Hyundai can out copy you.

        Hyundai/Kia have built their entire business around copying. They'll copy anything.

          They're being introduced at a Chinese show and the press release says they were designed with the Chinese market in mind, so its a logical assumption to make Reading comprehension, how does it work?

      haha, Honda, you continue to establish yourself as the manufacturer most in need of natural-born English translators. Two things are either identical or not. "Substantially identical" does not make any sense.

      That Honda concept looks like the future Pilot. After all, now, that the new MDX is out, its time for the new Pilot....given that all the other Honda models are out with their new or refreshed versions. And this one looks like a SUV / Crossover type vehicle.

        @JAB
        Didn't they just give the Pilot a major update, though?

          I think they did....but essentially the same interior and body has been carried since its intro...just some updates and more standard features, mostly. With the introduction of each new MDX, there has been a new Pilot......which leads me to conclude that this will be the Pilot for 2014......
