Here's a math problem: if Tanner Foust has a 24 hours to kill in Germany and one blue Ford Raptor, how long will it take him to decide he wants to lap The Nürburgring? Extra credit if you can get your answer precise to the millisecond.

A very truck-like and slidey lap of the 'Ring is exactly what happened when the Ford-sponsored rallycross driver took time off from set-up duties for his 'day job.' Thankfully no one even thought to worry about posting a time, but you can watch some Raptor skid marks getting laid down between the kerbs in the video below.

Way too short and way too much of things not involving driving, not meaning the intro shots of everything. First time I had seen those area. Show us at least the second or especially the third lap when Tanner has an idea of the route.

Hahaha....trucks on nurburgring....sorry I couldn't resist. Sorry that car is in the wrong territory, trucks belong in the old west looking stupid while that is a ground for proper cars like M3s, GTR, 911s.

I went to an autocross once and there was a guy in a 2008 Ford F250 King Ranch. Did he win no? No. Was he best in show? Yes. Everyone crowded the track to watch him go and loved it due to being completely different. That's the point of this video which you're completely missing.

I have to actually agree, maybe not with the words used.... some day people will get their heads out of their asses...in North America a truck /= a car, let alone a performance car. Keep your 'high performance' SUV and trucks to 'killing' Toyota Corolla's in straight lines

A truck on the \'ring. Gosh - that\'s exciting. If you live in TN. Tune in tomorrow when they\'ll test an AMC Gremlin!

What's the maximum payload of your 4-cylinder? Max towing? Oh wait... Apples to hammers.

@brandon How many people buy a Raptor to run the 'Ring? Geez, bet you are the life of any party

How many people actually by an f150, or f150 raptor to tow with? Or carry things with? Don't get me wrong, it's a decent truck. Albeit overpriced, but nowadays those items are more for marketing then actual use.

STI? That's the only 4 cylinder I know that can do anywhere close to that time. But it ran at 755.

And if the pistons don\'t knock themselves apart (like most of them do), it might just be a fun car! In stock form they\'re no faster than a V6 Mustang...

With Ohlins coilovers, amongst other handling goodies and easily 100hp more than stock I'm pretty sure it's easily faster than a STOCK Evo 9 at 8:11 in the rain. Might not be exactly a 7:45 like AMS, but assuming I can drive I bet sub 8 minutes is cake. Again, not trolling at all when a stock previous gen car runs 8:11 in the rain on a non-track day with speed limits. With $5000 in coilovers alone and other suspension work planned, a 550whp turbo running E85...... I'd say that's easily close to what AMS was doing.

US trucks are not so special in Germany, here is a girl driving a black Raptor, I see here driving several times a week, a Dodge Ram Hemi parks around the corner of my house and no they are not large, every delivery truck or even every large Spriter (290inch and here they hit the road by thousends) is much bigger than they are not to talk about semis. A Mercedes GL or a Audi Q7 is not much smaller than a Raptor and here they park at each corner. They dont impress here anyone by size, the only think what makes people looking at them is they are in some areas some sort of exotic on Europen roads..

Why not post the lap time?? I'm sure it wasn't sports car fast but this should be one of the fastest truck times and would surely embarrass a lot of cars, including some made by the European racing brands.

Maybe faster than a Trabant, that's about it. It's a stupid fat truck, it's dog slow on a track and its supposed to be that way. Faster then some European racing brands? Wow, and I guess you're thesmart one in your family.
