Subaru will be stocking its display at the Geneva Motor Show next month: The European debut of the Subaru Forester joins the world premiere of a diesel Outback with Lineartronic CVT and a display called Subaru 360 that showcases the "brand's history and future vision."

The genuine future-speak, however, is intended to be conveyed by the Viziv concept (click the image above to enlarge). This name "Viziv" is culled from the phrase "Vision for Innovation," and the "future-generation crossover" that bears the 25th-century name has been designed to be an embodiment of "enjoyment and peace of mind."

That's quite a holistic burden for just one crossover. In the more mundane world, the Viziv will suggest Subaru's new design and technology directions. Subaru has created a mini-site for the concept that will be updated during the show, but for now, it just lets us know that March 5 will be "the start of something exciting."

Now where have I seen that grille before? Oh yes, EVERY NEW FORD. And the blue oval in the center makes the copying even worse.

Why is everyone copying Hyundai these days? This looks just like the grill of new Santa Fe.

Aaaaanndd who do you think Hyundai has been copying? Everyone else. I think you've got it backwards. If anything, that grille reminds me of Audi (oh and the LED's too BTW). Which shouldn't be surprising since Mr. Shreyer has been around.

Aaaaaand joejoe509, please provide some 'evidence' (links) to backup your claim, that Hyundai has been copying 'everyone'. I realise that there's a (mis)conception for Hyundai - that it is a 'copycat'. However my definition of a 'copycat' is a copy-and-paste job, much like the Chinese cars, e.g. Geely: http://toponday.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/2d6a1dd6c5a110590f560ae3647e6b903.jpg However I'm yet to see any 'copy-and-paste' jobs from Hyundai, especially with their current lineup. Sonata? No. Santa-Fe? No. Veloster? No. Accent / Elantra / i30? Instantly recognisable as its own respectable cars...? Rather than thumbing me down, could you enlighten us where Hyundai has been copying?? On the other hand, desinerd1 has a good point. The grille for this Subaru concept is a 'copy-and-paste' job off a 2013 Santa Fe, the Chinese couldn't have done it better. Looks like the current Taurus' front end to me...specifically the grille. Ford started the trapezoidal grille craze in Europe...and it looks like more are jumping on.

Very much like the Fusions grill, in shape and the inside detail, where the crease of the slats are identical to how they are shaped on the Fusions grill to and follows it up to the hood crease line as well.

Can people do geometry? What did people do in grade school? Fusion has a different arrangement. This grille's shape is the EXACT shape of the Hyundai's latest Santa Fe. THEY COPIED HYUNDAI.

The Fusion's grille is upside down compared to this Subaru. However the grille on this concept is pretty much copy-and-paste from the 2013 Santa Fe's. See? http://www.netcarshow.com/hyundai/2013-santa_fe_eu-version/800x600/wallpaper_04.htm

Subaru tends to have great-looking crazy concepts, skips the typical 75% semi-production concept and runs right into production with something that only bears a mild resemblance to the original concept. I know it probably saves them money, but we're left skeptical that any of this will make it to the showrooms. Anyway, if the new Forester hadn't have come out so recently I'd say this looks 100% Forester. So I guess this might preview the new Outback or more likely some replacement for the Tribeca. If so, loose the Viziv name. It's terrible.

It looks vaguely like the trapazoid grill on the Rapide, but you may want to remind yourself what the grill on a real Aston looks like. http://www.astonmartin.com/cars/vanquish

This concept actually looks good, but that is the problem. Subaru has a great nack for showing concept cars and the \"new styling\" and then screws it all up in production.

Excited to see what they do. Not excited about the grill. Bad job on the trapezoid. It\'s all over the place.
