Cigarette Racing has another Mercedes-Benz AMG-themed boat headed out to sea. After The SLS AMG-inspired 46-foot Rough Rider in 2010 and the C63 AMG Black Series-inspired 50-foot Marauder in 2012, this year's Miami Boat Show will introduce the 42-foot Huntress, theme provided by the G63 AMG.

The latest Cigarette homage is less overly racy than the ones before, befitting a watercraft modeled off a performance SUV, but don't let the looks fool: there are five Mercury Racing Verado 350SCi outboard engines, each one of them packing a supercharged inline six-cylinder with, natch, 350 horsepower. Those 1,750 horses will be good for 78 miles per hour when you've got some saltwater underneath you.

If you're in South Florida this week, Booth B-23 at the Miami Convention Center could be your best place to see it. Otherwise, like the 536-hp G63 AMG, it could be hard to catch. There's a press release with more information below.

Commanding Status: Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Inspires the Cigarette 42' Huntress

February 05, 2013 - MONTVALE, NJ

On Thursday, February 14 at the Miami International Boat Show, the world will be introduced to the third collaboration between the Cigarette Racing Team and Mercedes-AMG in the form of the 42 Huntress Inspired by the G 63 AMG. (Booth B-23 at the Miami Beach Convention Center)

Uninhibited performance is a phrase often claimed, but in reality rarely achieved. However in the case of two leaders in their respective domains: Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing Team have reached new heights with the 42' Huntress inspired by the G63 AMG. The Cigarette 42' Huntress is designed with the same stringent construction that defines their renowned offshore performance boats - extremely durable superstructure, awe inspiring performance, and race-rigging - upon which its roots were built. The center console nature and overall capacity of the huntress allows this baked-in Cigarette performance to be expressed on glassy seas or in rough water environments that would make other performance boats cringe. All whilst providing space for enjoyment of a sizeable group of friends or family.

The AMG G-Class, often referred to as the G-Wagen (short for Geländewagen - "cross-country vehicle"), remains true to its heritage as being a vehicle that can be used primarily in tough off-road terrain: three electrically controlled 100-percent differential locks, ladder frame and rigid axle are characteristics that positions it in a class of its own. The injection of a V8 biturbo, hand built AMG engine with 536 hp and massive 560 ft-lbs of torque places the G-Wagen into a performer in all environments and with a bespoke interior, a true iconic luxury off-roader

Boat Specs:
Length: 42-ft
Beam: 11-ft 11-inch
Power: 5x Mercury Racing Verado 350SCi
Fuel Quantity: 500-gal
Top Speed: 78-mph

Oh and it would have been way more impressive if the boat actually used AMG developed motors. Imagine 4 of those 536hp G63 V8s in that boat?

Help me out, what is AMG besides the sticker on the hull?

It's a 46' Rough Rider, stop calling it a Rider.

That awkward moment when the suv that inspired the boat, cant tow the boat it inspired... I do love the G63 and the boat though

Why anyone would pick a G63 over a GL63 or Range Rover is beyond me. It's ugly old and outdated. Seriously needs to be redesigned

My wife covets these too. She likes the silver ones.

The G-Wagen will be used by the wifey to go shopping. The boat will be towed by a Ram 4500.

Shouldn't the SUV be able to tow the boat also? Pan to the right and I am sure there is a dually there.

The G63 can't tow it and the boat is powered by Mercury motors, so what is the point other than the stickers on the side. Sort of reminds me of the posers that put AMG or M badging on their garden variety Benz or BMW's

Uh 78mph? Whats high performance about that? It's an average fishing boat. A skater 46' with twin 1350's would have been a little more interesting but AMG does this every few years with Cigarette when the "dont know anything about boats" marketing team at AMG gets bored...

come on guys... People who can afford 40+ foot boats don't tow them.

The only thing less practical than a 500hp SUV is a fishing boat with 5 outboards. Cheers, AMG! And don't think I'm hating on the G. I'd rock one (with a diesel) in a heartbeat.
