From recent spy shots to leaked information, we're starting to get a good idea about just how amazing the unnamed successor to the Ferrari Enzo will be, but now we've finally gotten to see some video of the car testing at the Fiorano Circuit in Italy. This video not only gives us an earful of the car's screaming engine and rumbling exhaust note, it also affords us a view of the car without its fish-face camouflage that it has been caught wearing recently.

The video shows the new supercar testing around the 12-turn, 1.877-mile track with an Enzo, and it is interesting to hear the differences between the 651-horsepower Enzo and its reportedly 950-hp hybrid successor. Scroll down to watch the newest Ferrari going through some track testing, and be sure to turn your speakers up.

Wow....wide indeed. That engine sounded like it was not even pushed to its full potential. Ferrari will make history. Again.

Look at the way this car gathers speed. Wow. Just insane! Hopefully the sound doesn't change for the production car because it sounds incredible.

The sound reminds me of a Porsche 917. Should be fast.

There are great sounding electric motors out there actually. An axial flux motor on a square wave brushless controller sounds wicked, even a brushed version sounds fantastic. RPMs are in the 0-8000RPM motor, and they sound similar to a gas engine. Search for 'my 48 volt electric motorcycle' on youtube if you want to hear an example. More efficient motors are often used though in production cars as they stretch the battery range further. They tend to be super quiet.. unfortunately :)

I realize these cars are driven by performance first, but that ridiculous front overhang in both is hideous. And the rear end is so uninteresting- just body work covering the engine and rear wheels. Sounds great, bit doesn't get my heart racing at all. I still am blown away by the 355, and even the 430 to a lesser extent. These recent designs are no longer beautiful. I guess that is why I would be in an Aston DBS as my Lottery car and not one of these. I appreciate the looks more than the performance that I would likely never get to experience anyway.

Don't worry BK, I not only read your comments, but I understood them and agree. Yes, this is a mule, but you can still discern proportions and some design details. How DARE someone suggest that a halo car is anything other than gorgeous, right? (Too bad it doesn't have to be gorgeous to be a halo car. This will always be about performance over looks, unfortunately.)

A mustang? Really? Haha please tell me you're kidding. Don't get me wrong. I own a 2003 Mustang Mach 1 and damn proud of it and I'm probably the biggest Ford fan boy you will meet, but this Ferrari, and any current Ferrari, would annihilate any Mustang haha.

God... I hope you're kidding. If not than I'd say you're a post child for American devolution. That muscle car is nothing but a supercharged school bus compared to any Ferrari, much less their halo car.

I do not like American cars. All except the Mustang. I really do like it but one has to be realistic and understand that a Ferrari is a bolt away from an F1 car. No offence, but I don't think the new Enzo has anything to worry about.

It's becoming more and more apparent that these are just insane engines covered by some unimaginative sheet-metal so it can pass for a "car". Well in all fairness, we should have seen this coming. When exactly did overkill not ruin things?

Why are you commenting about this car, after all, it's made by people you hate so much.
