Kia is headed to the Chicago Auto Show with a new concept. Details are scarce on the Cross GT at the moment, but we know the machine was penned as a luxury crossover. Larger than the current Sorento, we would wager there's three rows of seating on board. And while it's unclear whether or not Kia plans to bring something similar to market, we like what we see in the shadowy teaser above. The Cross GT seems to wear the company's "tiger nose" styling well, and the familiar D-pillar upkick ties the machine in nicely with the rest of the company's people-movers.

The 2013 Chicago Auto Show kicks off on February 7th, and should feature a number of interesting reveals. Those include the upcoming Toyota Tundra and what could be a special version of the Dodge Dart. Stay tuned for our live coverage on the show floor.

While KIA's design has been more than cool & very attractive, Soul, Optima, Sportage... etc, I can't say the same for their recent effort with both production & concept cars. While still attractive, they are losing what I loved so much about Sportage and Optima: Sharp edges with clean surfacing. (or the simplicity of straight line theme claimed by Mr Schreyer. While I dig the front profile with nice snout, I am not digging the front grill on this. Why are they going "Hexagon" shape just like everybody else? Hyundai, Audi, Ford, etc.......

That 'hexagon'-ish (uniqely) shaped grille is Kia's 'tiger nose' grille, present on all Kias.

What is that supposed to mean? Whenever something is killed, that is definitively an action -- there's no way for something to be killed outside of action. Find a new stupid acronym.

The line down the middle of the hood and grille remind me of the parting lines between panels of a Transformer toy. Where the two halves of the nose seperate to form the shoulders of some unknown Autobot...
