We're mere days from the official unveiling of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, and General Motors has released yet another teaser video of the car. We've already seen clips highlighting the machine's interior and digital gauges as well as what went into bringing the coupe from concept to reality. The latest video spends a second focusing on manufacturing and follows the chassis down the assembly line for a spell. From the first weld to the marrying of the body shell to the driveline, the video below gives us our first glimpse at the innards of the C7.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will bow on Sunday, January 13. Stay tuned for official photos and information, as well as live shots from the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. In the interim, check out the latest teaser for yourself.

why do you keep using the term "bow" when new cars come out? You know the definition is to suffer defeat, right?

And, you don't have an education, and you have no appreciation for engineering and performance, and you don't have $50k in the bank to buy one like I did. The list of the things you don't have goes on and on. PS. I haven't had a mullet since the last time I saw your mother. I should have stuck around and educated you on many thing.

This car will be unreal. I cant wait to hear (the speculation renderings do not do this car justice) come from everyone who sees it in person, All of the renderings have been based off of C6 proportions, They are different, better

I know you want to believe Jalopnik, got it wrong, but every new detail since the release of that pic proves otherwise. Unless GM, has created the most grand diversion the industry as ever seen. We basically know what the C7 will look like. Of course in person details provide a better look, but we all know by now what the overall look will be.

I believe we have a good idea of the design features of this car, But what people dont seem to understand that that car design hinges on Proportions, balance and stance. If you take the features of the C7 and overlay them onto a C6 (like the rendered speculations) it will end up looking like a grand theft auto car, you can see the features but in no way is that the whole story, You can see what im talking about in the images below. http://www.corvetteconti.com/photo-gallery/data/537/REAL-C7-2014-CORVETTE-PICTURES.jpg http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/wp-content/uploads//2012/11/corvette.jpg The greenhouse looks much slimmer than C6

^^^, I don't think you can put a current C6 Corvette in front of an artist an have them render every single proportion exactly on a two dimensional scale and have it be exact. The key word is "RENDERING" , not a photograph. I get what you're saying andI agree the full scope of the Corvette design can't be seen until we have actual live photos. That said, it still don't mean Jalopnik's rendering, didn't get it mostly right, even a lot of the detail work. The details, they put in the rendering couldn't have been known unless they saw the vehicle. Proportions don't have to be exact, to see that. We'll only know how close they came, but I think they are damn close to what the real thing will be. 3 days and counting....

@Rob - I thought we already had confirmation of no DCT. If you really want an all-season performance car at this price point I would highly recommend a 997 C4S. It's an incredible car that can be daily driven. Throw some snow tires on it and it's unstoppable in moderate amounts of snow (you still have obvious ground clearance issues).

I just suddenly have a premonition that GM is going to screw this one up and the C7 will be a horrible disappointment. It will come in 300lb too heavy with sound deadening, 10" too long to make the interior roomier. The engine will be rated 20hp over the outgoing one, but the dyno will reveal that it is actually down 15hp. The interior will look disjointed like the Volt. The Electric power steering will be dead feeling. It will be just like the 2013 Malibu all over again. Because this has been the pattern of new GM releases this last 2 years.

Can't wait until Sunday. Renderings looked promising, but it will surely look much better in pictures and of course in the flesh. With the new interior, this car is going to crush it! While I love Porsche's also, they are going to lose some market share to this fella.
