A passenger plane attempting to land at the Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia crashed on Saturday, December 29, killing four of its eight crew members on board, according to CNN. The flight, arriving from the Czech Republic, reportedly overshot the runway and crashed through a fence, sending debris scattering across an adjacent highway. While it's too early for officials to determine the cause of the incident, authorities say pilot error, weather or a technical malfunction could be to blame.

Shockingly, a driver captured the tragic event on video via a dash cam. The clip shows the aircraft bouncing through a barrier before sending dirt, snow and pieces of the plane careening across the roadway and damaging cars. You can view the dramatic video below.

      I saw this yesterday on bestgore.com, a site that posts deaths and find of people being killed etc. Doesn't really belong on autoblog

        A site like bestgore.com really doesn't belong anywhere, why would you visit a site like that?

      It was lucky that the plane was empty with only crew on board.

        And what about the crew? Were they lucky to be the only ones onboard as well?

          @knaz, it is all relative. Yes, it was lucky as most pax jets are loaded with people (especially during the holiday season) and the death toll would have been far higher. Chances are small that a random plane plucked from the sky as no pax.

        Why down-voting perfectly reasonable comment? o.O Emotions taking over the brain? Of course it was luck...

      I'm not sure why a plane crash involving deaths is posted on a car enthusiast website?

      Does EVERY car in Russia have a dashcam now?

        @Brent Jatko
        Every smart driver has one as insurance fraud is a huge issue there. People will run into stopped cars and claim they got hit, or others will reverse into a car and claim to have been rear ended. Having footage is really the only way to protect yourself from a "your word vs mine" situation.

          Issue in the US as well, just not perhaps as prevalent. Definitely handy to have both for insurance purposes and just to catch crazy stuff that may happened. I briefly had one in my truck, only got rid of it because the particular one I had was kind of a piece of junk. I may replace it with something of a little bit higher quality.

        I think dashcam is a good idea regardless of country. They are so cheap now too. I'm actually surprised car manufacturers don't offer dashcams at least as a factory option. It would be so much nicer, if the cam was integrated nicely, for example, in the rear view mirror.

      I feel sorry for that crew. RIP. This is the second 204 to go off a runway this month, sounds like it might be mechanical in nature unless pilot error was involved in boh case which I doubt.

      Cannot believe that the driver had the where-with-all to use the turn signal when the driver pulled the car over. After the impact. Exceptional driving with the exception of braking oppose to speeding up. Wow.
