Toyota has announced that it will debut an all-new sedan concept, dubbed Furia, at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show next January. And while the Japanese automaker has released this video teaser as a way to whet our appetites, we don't know a whole lot about what, exactly, is in store.

So, it's a sedan, it's orange, it has some carbon fiber accents like the rear lip spoiler you see in the image above, and there are funky, concept car-spec lighting elements at both the front and rear. It may or may not live in fire based on the footage we see here, too. That's all we know for now, and our best guess is that this previews some sort of new sporty sedan for the Japanese brand. (Toyota could stand to add a little excitement in its lineup, after all.)

We'll have the full details closer to the concept's debut at the Detroit Auto Show in a few weeks. For now, scroll down to watch the Furia in full tease mode.

That was my first guess as well, maybe a preview of a new design direction that will get distilled into the Corolla.

I see carbon fiber accents in the skirts and exhaust. Chrome features integrated like that of the Mazda 6. The cabin looks like it has a cabin forward stance so its not going to be all too sporty imo.

Is this the new Camry Solara? Maybe. Either way, it will be even MORE grounded to the ground, just with a less beige body on the same chassis and drivetrain as the normal yawnmobile Camry.

Perhaps it is based on the FR-S/GT-86 chasis.. A compact sporty sedan from Toyota for under 30k. Sounds interesting.

Has that round Soarer bottom. The headlights look weird though. Hopefully it's a RWD saloon which adds more fuel to the fire, so Ford re-think globalising Falcon (A man can dream)

Looking at the picture and reading the description, I thought it might be an FT86 based sedan. If you freeze frames its clear that its notan RWD car. I think its the concept for next gen Corolla. Looks good though. A lot more upscale .Camry inspired front end,Avalon inspired rear.
