Yes, that is a Ford Mustang Cobra Jet with its nose pointed toward the stars and its rear valance on the ground. Marvel at that image while you can, because the car doesn't maintain that posture for long. Once the front tires re-enter the Earth's atmosphere, the situation goes muddy quickly. There's a bounce or two, some sideways action and a few brief concrete kisses before the party comes to a complete stop. Anyone who says drag racing is boring clearly hasn't watched someone ping-pong their purpose-built factory drag car down the quarter mile.

Word has it the driver of this particular pony-shaped pinball walked away from the incident without injury, though we imagine it was a minute or two before his car crawled up to the Christmas tree once again. Check out the video below for a look at the show for yourself.

I was just thinking the same thing. But, if he can afford one, I'm sure he can afford to get it fixed.

Sheldon, Holy **** man I was trying to be optimistic. Why do people act like total d-bags if they don't even know the person? You are being a complete hypocrite considering you also have absolutely nothing to back up your conclusion.

if you know someone who "pours almost all his income on one" than you know an idiot, im sorry, Love the car, love the track, but if you cant afford to replace your ride, you shouldnt put it on the track

Why do people always post retarded **** like this? You have absolutely nothing to base that on. I know people who poor pretty much all of their disposable income into things like this. It's just as likely that this is some regular joe's weekend toy that he saved / spent all his extra pennies on.

As a former drag racer most people do not realize the power of these purpose built cars and how much it takes to get the launch characteristics of these cars correct.

I hate it when this happens to good-looking cars. Oh well... Even after a disaster like that it still looks better than a Toyota Prius.

If you look at the video he's already turned the wheels a noticeable amount (10 degrees or more) before the nose even comes down.

@Josh, there is a video from the cabin, he just steers the wheels for all the time. feedback or not, the steering wheel was not centred. I know I would have done much worse, then again I wouldn't be doing that in the first place.
