We've heard it enough that it does no good griping about it further – the nifty Hyundai i30 three-door we just saw in the metal at the Paris Motor Show isn't crossing the Atlantic. Those who will get the i30 can now watch it in rolling glory, with Hyundai finally releasing promotional footage of its newest hatch.

Slightly restyled to put design room between it and the five-door i30, a 126-horsepower four-cylinder is the highlighted engine among a wide range of powerplants mated to either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. You can see how she runs in the video below.

Look. It's the Veloster before they hit it with the ugly stick! Fuel economy TBI (to be inflated). All jokes aside looks like and improvement. If only they would see us the the Elantra GT with only 3 doors.

This is so much better looking than the Elantra Coupe!

One car that looks better as a 5-door. Hyundai's love of upward-curving beltlines make the rear quarters look too heavy.

And the silver-painted wheels with chromed plastic snap-ins are just as heinous as they are on the US 5-door.

I've seen these around here in Sydney. Front is OK, but the rear and side is just awesome. Overall, looks very attractive.

That's okay, as long as we get the i30 Turbo/Elantra GT Turbo when it comes out.

Yes, but it certainly looks nothing like the mk7 GTI at all, especially not the wheels and the tail lights.
