Attempting to at least stay abreast of the spy shots, spy video and photographs of the M6 Gran Coupe, BMW has released a small set of its own images. They don't give much away concerning the 560-horsepower four-door 6er, but this is one of those situations where we already know everything there is to know. We're just waiting for the guilty party to officially confess.

The photos show off one of the unique 20-inch wheels but not the M-specific steering wheel and shifter. We're not far away from its unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show in January, and the secrecy on BMW's part makes little sense. After all, there's a whole gallery of the car on Bimmerpost, shot at its debut at the 40 Years of M event at the Nürburgring. So check those out as well, after you peep the photos posted above.

Yep, anything to get the MSRP up over 6 digits. Who can afford this?

Wait a minute. I thought BMW's newer naming convention was that four doors had odd numbers and two doors had even numbers. Wasn't that the whole bruhaha by the Bavarian faithful when the next gen M3 Coupe was announced as the M4? So how is this M6 now a four door? *confused*

Have fun making sense of it all when the 4 Series Gran Coupe comes out.

Hmm... so many options! A CLS63, an S7 and now this! Pricing from cheapest to expensive: 1) S7 2) CLS63 3) M6 GC. The Audi's still a better choice, for the other $20k you're better of buying a Ducati 1199 :D

Late to the game and very lame. A7 is doing driving circles around you right about... now.

This is not a coupe. BMW attempting to redefine the word coupe when it comes to describing a car is not sitting well with me. Anyone else?

http://www.automoblog.net/2009/02/12/coupe-vs-sedan-whats-the-difference/ Absolutely no car enthusiast thinks a 4-door coupe exists and anyone who thinks differently needs to be smacked upside their head.

AB, they're taking advantage of you. At least ask BMW for money if you're going to regurgitate their pictures. If you're going to repeat a press release, you at least should include a snarky comment about how this is a "M6 Gran not-Coupe" or a "M6 Gran Sedan" or something like that.

The photos don't show a thing. More of that teaser garbage. How come Jay "unfunny" Leno isn't in this article?

Im hoping its a TRUE coupe this time, two doors not four. If you want a clear picture of the new M6 Gran coupe, take a regular six series, and toss a M6 emblem on the trunk. There you go.

I did. Usually there's a gallery so I was confused as to why I didn't see one. Didn't realize you have to click the main photo. Thanks for not being helpful

So how long before the Big Poop is recalled for a recall like the 2013 M5? For this kind of $$$$$$ the Panamera Turbo chews up the Big Poop & spits out the pieces it doesn't like, even the AMG CLS 63 at least has the road presence & pedigree that goes with a $120,000 + car.

Number being thrown around is $120k. $40k more than an Audi S7.
