If you don't remember the batty G-Power G1 Hurricane RS, here's a little refresher: imagine 600 horsepower from a supercharged version of the 4.0-liter V8 that powers the BMW M3, shoved into the engine bay of the 1 Series M Coupe. G-Power says the creation is good for a top end of 205 mph, and the crew at Auto Sport recently got the chance to explore the machine's upper octaves. Fortunately for us, they brought along a camera to capture the ride. While their top-end run didn't quite manage to break the magical 200 mph barrier, the G1 Hurricane RS did manage to serve up a sprint to 195 mph. Impressive.

Of course, the video also includes all the requisite throttle blips and shots of the car getting sideways on command. Looks like loads of fun, but we feel compelled to remind everyone to keep their antics off of public roads and on the track where they belong. Check out the video below to see the G1 Hurricane RS dash to 195 mph.

I used to do this all the time - take it to the limit. It gets really noisy at those speeds. Anything goes wrong and you die. I had a problem at Orlando Speed World and came real close. So, I made a decision of die or do some other things with my life. I'm still here, Steve Jobs is gone. So, back to my garage lab.

How do we know that car went that fast? All they show is a speedo and tach? It might have been on a dyno for all we know, because, as a matter of fact, the camera seemed to steady/smooth for that kinda speed. Also, being it was'nt a particularly aerodynamic vehicle, it prob. would've flipped somewhere around 140-150 or so. Bottom line: SHOW ME THE VIDEO, not some hairpin road where that kinda speed is literally impossible.

You're kidding me right? Do you know much about cars?? My little Lancer can get up to 145 and it drives just fine, i think this one can get to 195. You do realize that tach is in Km/h and no Mph..... Maybe thats where you are misinformed. Funny

Wow just what I need to get to the grocery store. I have a 1997 Beaten up Honda Accord with 500,000 miles on it. They still give tickets if you go over 55 MPH no matter what you drive.

Hats off to the team that built this car. Effectively, they've built a V-8 Vega that doesn't rust.

Automatic...the 1M was manual-only, and I'd much rather have that.

Wow, this is some seriously drool-worthy machinery! They should really clean the "poop stains" out of the interior before photographing the car however ;).
