Blooming automotive designer Ondrej Jirec, a student at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, may not work for Lamborghini, but we'd argue that he should get an internship in Sant'Agata. Based on this very complete set of renderings of this "2015 Lamborghini Perdigón Concept," we think Jirec shows the kind of chops needed to get the supercar thing done.

Conceived of and executed as a personal "after school project," The Perdigón presents a vision of a Bugatti Veyron fighter for the bullish brand, replete with stealth bomber-like surfacing, extreme proportions and an out-of-this-world cockpit. The overall effect is one of Sesto-Elemento-meets-starship-escape-pod, which we dig.

Take a look through the gallery of Perdigón Concept images and tell us what you think, in the comments section below.

There are several styling elements that I really like on this concept though I agree with others that that scoop/fan up front needs to go. Well done for an after-school project.

Can anyone explain what that thing is in the middle of the windshield? Honest question.

if they take out the hole in the front and add a real roof, its not a terribly far cry from what lamborghini does recently.

Looks a little stubby, but if it gets a manual transmission, I'd be perfectly happy. Is that supposed to be a jet intake, by the way?

What is it about "concept" that you dopes so regularly fail to grasp? Concept cars represent extreme and aesthetically based ideas presented by designers- this is not at all a production focused exercise.

All I can say is that this takes poor visibility to a whole new level. How the heck would you be able to see with that thing in the middle of the windshield? You could see to the left, and straight ahead (somewhat), but not to the right. Seeing behind would be even worse (although it would likely have a backup camera). This will (and should) never see the light of day.

I've seen cars that have been totalled that are more eye pleasing than this monstrosity

That looks terrible. Looks like a MIB car in the middle of its transformation. Maybe it's just me, but I thought the Reventon was hella ugly as well. The Aventador is sex tho.
