The next installment in the Bond franchise, Skyfall, is on the way in six weeks. The Aston Martin DB5 is back and the Honda motorcycles used in the film are already in the British Motor Museum tucked in with the 50 Years of Bond exhibit. And now this: UK satellite channel Sky is launching a Sky Movies 007 channel in high-def next month, where you can find all the Bond movies in one place. Even George Lazenby gets to shine again in high-pixel-count glory.

To celebrate the launch they've put together a montage of Bond car chases and crashes through the years – Sean Connery, Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, they're all here. You'll find the video below, and nota bene, no, Timothy Dalton wasn't in Quantum of Solace...

On Her Majesty's Service, Lazenby's Bond movie is pretty darn good, actually. I've seen every Bond movie at least 5x, many 10x, and it holds up as well, if not better, than the later '70s flicks, although I love them, too. I've been calling for an all Bond network in the USA for a long time, lol. I hope we get a version of Sky's here.

The last scene in OHMSS (briefly glimpsed in the commercial) is probably the most touching scene in the Bond franchise until Casino Royale came along. Would've loved to have seen George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton do a few more films... And yes, I wish I could drive a DBS (fast) in a tailored suit (and Omega Seamaster) up an Italian mountain next to the water.

Very clever editing. I believe the voiceover at the end belongs to Colin Salmon ("Charles Robinson" in the Brosnan Bond films).

The chase in downtown Las Vegas in "Diamonds Are Forever" is my favorite. I wish they'd been able to work that in somehow.

Saw this during the F1 at the weekend - been trying to make room on by Sky box ever since - gotta record them all, and my OCD dictates they have to be in order!! They're also showing the original David Niven Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again apparently.

This has always been such a great franchise for car chases. And for everything Quantum of Solace lacked overall, that was a hell of an opening sequence. I wanted a shot of Connery driving the pickup under helicopter attack in From Russia With Love.
