Australian bank robbers apparently know two things: where to go to steal Aussie dollars in Los Angeles, and that you don't leave the bar without your Carlton Draught. It seems that what they don't know is which bars are crawling with police. This presents a challenge when, after the heist, they suddenly realize they're trying a enjoy a few pints with an entire precinct's worth of cops.

So the robbers in a commercial for Carlton Draught take off – with their beers. The cops, equally reluctant to give chase sans brewskies, take off after them. And since everyone knows you don't drink and drive, what follows is the classic post-heist car chase... with a twist. You can check out the "Beer Chase" commercial below.

Too clever! I see a lot more commercials with this don't drink and drive theme coming. Whoever thought this up deserves a promotion, corner office, and a keg of beer. I'll be glad to help celebrate the latter.

What are you talking about? Carlton has no association with Budweiser. They actually make quality beer.

Carlton is actually owned by SABMiller. http://www.sabmiller.com/index.asp?pageid=2206

If it is actual Carlton Draft then it has nothing to do with Bud Light. The beer was developed and produced in Melbourne, Victoria. However, they might have changed the taste slightly to appeal more to American tastes. There is some precedent in doing this to Australian beers as both Fosters and XXXX were changed for the UK market (made weaker).
