Here's a question to ponder: If it can outrun a C5 Chevrolet Corvette off the line, can we even call it a skateboard anymore?

While we're intrigued by this Kickstarter project from Gnarboards, we'll admit to having no idea what we'd do with an electric skateboard that can do 0-28 miles per hour in under two seconds. We do, however, know exactly what we'd do with that C5 'vert in the video: Remove those Z06 brake ducts and those terrible wheels.

Scroll down to watch the electric skateboard drag race the 'Vette.

Step 1: do a couple runs to see where the car overtakes the board. Step 2: put finish line before this point. Step 3: Step 4: MONEY?

I know what I'd do with an electric skateboard that can do 0-28mph in less than two seconds. Severely injure myself.

I can beat a corvette on foot for about 5 feet too.

I can out run a Bugatti on foot -- if the finish line is only 10 feet away.

LOL .... proof that anyone can make up any drag race.... it's all relative... you just choose the distance that would put you at an advantage and Voila ... stupid LOL

I don't know what's worse, the arbitrary distance chosen for this race or the fact they ruined a really cool idea with a stupid name like Gnarboard.

Dear Autoblog. Is using excessive words a mandatory thing now that you are part of AOL? First it was: Mercedes-Benz DTM pit crew's DRAMATIC air line accident today we have UNLIKELY drag race. it’s like looking at the poor written articles on YAHOO front page....

So using descriptive language is a bad thing? What journal do you write for again?

Anyone who comments with the sole intent to insult this blog, shouldn't be here.. ever. That goes for every blog.

I disagree. Isn't the expectation when coming to reputable sites like this to expect good journalism? It doesn't appear 3ziko's pure intent was to troll and insult. Just because its critical/negative feedback doesn't mean its necessarily a bad thing. How do you expect anything to improve?

Interesting toy. I am more concerned at the poor choice in wheels that Vette owner made, (though I kinda like those ZO-6 vents infront of the rear wheels even if they are fake.)

The electric skateboard has potential to go faster than the most supercar but... if it did... the skateboarder would be in severe danger after only a few seconds.

Utterly useless. Given a short enough distance, the Corvette on foot too.

I wanted to blame the driver, but we can blame the transmission. There's not much power when you're mashing the petal from an 1000 RPM idle.
