The $71,890 BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Edition has had sounds added to the sight of it with a terribly short promo video. Shot at the Lime Rock track of its inspiration with cameos by Skip Barber and Bill Auberlen of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, it's all quick cuts and a bellowing exhaust.

The Fire Orange coupe holds pat on power but gets hi-po parts from the M division catalog, like the M3 Competition Package and carbon fiber roof, to do more with the power it does has. You can watch 19 seconds of it in the video below.

Funny thing is that car in the ad is a regular M3 which was black and it was painted orange. I was there the day they had it at the track... lol Then again, this LRP edition IS a regular M3...

      1. Buy BOSS 302. 2. Gut it. 3. Swap on racing brakes and wheel/tire package. 4. Profit!

So the paint and the carbon pieces at the bottom of the front bumper make it a special edition. BMW is taking a page from the Corvette "Indy Pace Car" playbook of special edition cars. Everything else is optional on a regular coupe.

No it's not. You can choose either CF roof or Sun roof.
