During an event for media at Pebble Beach, Cadillac design maestro Clay Dean said it was time for the brand to "reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time." The visual aids provided with the statement were two teaser images of a concept car that will be revealed at an auto show in 2013.

Looking like it received input from Speed Racer and the Mach 5, the front has lines that could be high exaggerations of the Ciel concept. Dean gave no indication what kind of Cadillac this might be, only that will begin to crystallize the brand's new informal philosophy of "American glamour meets American technology."

Dunno why they're fussing about with other concepts when the Ciel was such a stunner. They need to make that first.

I drive a 94 fleetwood brougham, I keep it mint since the show room day we bought it and it out shines any auto on the road. I think americans miss cars with class and distinction and real Chrome. They say they taken metal off the car to raise the MPG, the 94-96 brougham is 19feet long and gets 25mpg highway some times better. Why dose a new CTS get almost the same MPG and weighs Thousands less in weight, and its more streemlined? The LT1 the brougham engine has is stronger than anything built nowdays. Cars have gone the way of modern medicine "lets profit and not really cure anything" LOL. These new cars have no style or class, and its plastic from bumper to bumper. It is big but wow its comfortable.

I have not seen a Cadillac I've really liked since the 1984 Coupe DeVille. It might have looked like an old mans car by todays standards...but what a nice looking and smooth riding car it was. When you look at Cadillac's past models.....it's hard to see how they can find any glamour in what's being sold today.

Junk? Corvette ZR1 is junk? World Class sports car that blows by cars that cost 4 times as much. Now crawl back in your Civic and disappear.

This One Laptop Per Child initiative has its benefits, but as the above proves, it also has some negative effect.

Aside from all the bailout money Ford took after they ditched half the brands they owned, made Europe their center of car development, and turned Lincoln into an also-ran. With alphabet soup names.

Yes, if no one buys GM vehicles, the tax payers will magically get their money back.
