Is there anything that gets better with age more than wine? Why yes, motorsports fans, that would be racing footage. BMW has gone down to the cellar to create this four-and-a-half minute video chronicling the history of its Motorsport division as part of BMW M's 40th anniversary celebration.

From the seminal 3.0 CSL race car to the M1 and the original M3, the first two-thirds of the video is devoted to the good stuff before it devolves into a typical branding commercial.

Great video, to bad the people buying the cars now are mostly posers getting Auto versions. The Announcer called the 3 series a 3 door?

Also, I find it amusing that the announcer takes care to announce the German names properly, then goes on to say "Le Manzzzzzz" *facepalm*

ahhh yes, the days when BMW's were focused on the simple driving experience... now the //M badge stands for //More money with //More weight and //More electronics. Way to dilute the brand appealing to elitist rich snobs.
