There's no question that parallel parking is one of the more daunting things we face while out on the road. But what if you were so good at it that you could park a MINI Cooper in a space with only 15 cm (5.91 in) to spare between the vehicles in front and back of you?

That's exactly what Han Yue did with a special edition MINI Cooper to snag the Guinness World Record for tightest parallel parking job back on May 31. And he didn't ease it in like some of those infuriating drivers on Main Street. He whipped the car into position in just a couple of seconds.

Check out the video above to see the amazing feat for yourself.

      So what's really the big deal here...he slid a little Mini into a parking place. I did the very same thing last winter while pulling a 20 ft trailer behind my truck." However i parked between utility poles instead of little Mini Coopers and no one even got it on video."

        @mitchell
        also it's the same spot over and over .... move it around to new place's that he's unfamiliar with - no marks on the pavement to guide him . shoudn't be considered if it's not a real parking space

      We were hit with a $500 insurance increase for my wife's Honda. Both of us have a perfect driving record with no claims ever. Shocked by this increase I went online to get some quotes for her car. The two sites I first visited were actually more expensive than our new rate, but then I found ( http://bit.ly/SaveonInsurance ) I got a quote within minutes and ended up saving over $300 on our car insurance!

      If I'm not mistaken the cars just need to be parked parallel. There was nothing saying that the cars had to be parked one in front of each other.

      in the beginning the car in the back was red. Why is it blue when he finishes. I guess he hit it and had to start over.

        If you watch the marqee, the first attempt was 20 cm, then 19 and on down to 15cm. He obviously hit the red car on the first attempt at 19 cm.

      Why do you call this "parallel parking"? do you know the definition of parallel? I don't think so. This is in line parking,...
        • 2 Years Ago
        Really, Dude. Parallel to the curb. Duh
        • 2 Years Ago
        Yes I do---this is parallel parking. The cars are parked parallel to the curb. What planet are you from?

      Elwood Blues parked the Blues Mobile the same way. And by the way, I think driving like that is considered illegal. I wanna see what magic he uses to get OUT of the space now.
