Aluminum Ford F-150, Joel Ewanick leaves GM, 2014 Mazda6, Lexus LFA vs. Acura NSX

Episode #293 of the Autoblog Podcast is here, and this week Dan and Zach are joined by AOL Autos Editor-in-Chief David Kiley to talk about the possibility of an aluminum-bodied Ford F-150, Joel Ewanick's acrimonious departure from GM, the 2014 Mazda6 we've recently seen images of, and the modern Japanese supercar, the Lexus LFA, versus the original Japanese supercar, the Acura NSX. Your questions and comments power the end of the 'cast, and for those of you who hung with us live on our UStream channel, thanks for taking the time. Keep reading for our Q&A module for you to scroll through and follow along, too. Thanks for listening!

this podcast was polluted with low frequency noise - like the hum from old AC/DC transformer

We'd sorted this out beforehand. Dave was on a Mac laptop, either a Macbook Pro or a Powerbook, and thoe can sometime have 60Hz hum like that. The solution is to keep a hand on it at all times, but during the course of a podcast, it's easy to forget. Stay tuned for the next couple weeks, trying to keep the Podcast exciting and interesting. -Dan

Agree with the fellow who said worst ever. I gave up it was so irritating. Between the buzzing noise and the non-car orientation of the guest (your boss) I just deleted the file. Normally love the show and make it a scheduled part of my week but this was horrible. You shouldn't even be doing a podcast if you don't know the basics of audio.

Just getting caught up on my backlog of podcasts. All of my least favorite podcasts seem to be any that have Dave Kiley as a guest. I could go on about it but I hope we don't hear a lot out of him in the future.

David was podcast death! His rambling, his microphone, his wheezing; I don 't know how you guys kept it together -- Zach barely did, honestly -- but I promise I won't be able to listen to another podcast of which he is a part. Worst. Episode. Ever. Dan: you're doing a great job. Sincerely.
