Lexus is poised to whip the sheets off of the newest interpretation of its LS line in San Francisco next week, but a Chinese website is claiming to have an early peek at the machine. The site showed off two images detailing the majority of the exterior changes, including a new spindle grille and bizarre headlamp arrays with what looks to be three projector lenses per side. Word has it what we see here is the new LS 460 F Sport, complete with more aggressive bodywork. Around back, the images show new taillamps and little else.

We reached out to Lexus to see if the images were accurate or not, but have yet to hear back. Either way, we'll find out just how close this sedan is to the real deal when the 2013 Lexus LS debuts next Monday. The company has already said buyers will be able to pick up their luxury sedan in base LS 460, LS 460 L and LS 600h L guise, in addition to the new F Sport model. Stay tuned.

Lexus has released an official picture of this LS F on their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151094610843534&set=a.116982348533.100875.90671958533&type=1 Lexus is also only using the "all-new" attribute in their literature for the LS F model (because it didn't exist before) so this is increasingly seem like a refresh: " Lexus will hold the World Premiere of the new Lexus LS flagship sedan at a special invitation-only event in San Francisco on Monday, July 30. The 2013 LS will be available as the LS 460, LS 460 L long wheelbase, LS 600h L hybrid sedan and the all-new LS 460 F SPORT. "

And that engine is even more underpowered now, compared to the MB 4.7L TT V8. Sigh.

The current Lexus LS with the LED headlamps have the same three projector lens setup so its nothing new.

I didn't get a photo but they were shooting a commercial with this car on the street here in Vancouver about a month ago, definitely the new LS.

i wonder if the specific models are discernible to the average buyer? Lexus might fall victim to being too homogeneous like Audi

I think the reason that Audi is homogeneous is because their primary rival, BMW, did the same thing in the late 90s and those cars (E39 5-series, E38 7-series, and E46 3-series) are considered by some to have been the best of their breed.

It stands out in a crowd. More importantly, it will sell, no matter how much you German fan boys criticize it.

Yeah, that was the inspiration for Lexus changing their whole lineup! Put the blunt down, and back away slowly...... BD

Does anyone else think the new "face" of Lexus reminds them of Predator's face?

Lexus is doing the same mistake Audi did with their cars, making it hard to distinguish which's which. All Lexus's fronts look the same now.

I really dont think they look the same at all. The grill is executed differently on each model that has this new grill. The brand new ES doesn't look a thing like the new GS350. But the Audi A8 can be mistaken for a A4.

I was just about to leave a comment saying the same thing. Yes, it's not as bad as Audi (I thought an A6 was an A8 the other day. Oops?) but it's getting there...
