Ken Block is a talented man, no doubt about it. Though we wish – and we're sure he'd wholeheartedly agree – that his talents led to a few major race wins, Block is nothing if not an effective marketer of his own brand. And, as any budding internet video machine (over 140 million YouTube views for Block's Gymkhana series) can tell you, a web video is hardly a web video unless it's first been teased.

And so we bring you the video below. Yes, it's a teaser for Block's upcoming Gymkhana 5 video. Yes, it stars Ken Block and his Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V. rally car. And, if you couldn't tell from the screen capture above, it all takes place on a barge in San Francisco Bay. If you don't care about any of that, perhaps you'll be swayed to watch when we tell you it's all set to the glorious tunes of Europe's "The Final Countdown."

The video is waiting for your prying eyes below. It's 37 seconds long, and only about 10 of those show Block's car in motion. So, um... enjoy? And stay tuned for the whole shebang on July 9.

I feel like a nanny saying this, but all I can focus on is the smoke! If I motored down The Hudson setting fire to some car tyres doused in gasoline, would I get arrested?

I'd wager that Ken Block is the type to dump used motor oil down the nearest storm drain instead of properly recycling it. He seems to enjoy messing up the environment just for the hell of it.

"I can't win WRC races but I can hoon Youtube." What a clown!

So what if he can't win WRC races? He's great at these things and everyone enjoys it. "Keep'em coming, Block!"

Yessir, right after the weekly Ecclestone pic and the bi-weekly SAAB resurrection story. The monthly "crazed teenage girl driving a convertible" pic is in the works as we speak.

ken block is a major motoring tard, albeit he fluked into the top 10 in last week's rally of new zealand, he symbolises all that's wrong with modern marketing.

Ken IS modern marketing. The 140 million views are clear cut proof of that.

How fitting. A barge carrying garbage.

This drifting fad can't die fast enough. It requires no skill and most people think that it is just annoying. Ken Block is a sub par WRC driver at best, yet we see article after article about him, why?

He's won 100 Acre Wood 7 years in a row, no small feat considering the competition he's been up against. He's also been posting top 10 stage times in the WRC, which is impressive for a guy who just started rally racing a few short years ago.

They're running out of ideas. I have it on good authority that Block’s next gymkhana video will be him doing gymkhana stunts on top of another car also doing gymkhana. It’s “airplane on a treadmill” meets Xibit’s “yo dawn I heard you like."

I have a friend who's "big into rally" and simply loves Block--thinks he's a spectacular driver. Some of us actually know something about rally and recognize Block for what he is: a stunt driver, no more. If we all had practice (and means), not to mention the number of takes during these video shoots, we'd all be household names. Give me Loeb any day of the week. Block is a chinless attention *****.
