Robb Report has released its annual Best of the Best issue, and the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has been awarded top honors in the automotive category. No surprise there – the Italian supercar was chosen as the magazine's Car of the Year earlier in 2012.
Prefer to go topless? In that case, Robb Report suggests you have a look at the Ferrari 458 Spider. The BMW M5 took top honors in the sedan category and the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque was the winning SUV. We approve of the nods given to the Morgan 3 Wheeler and Icon Bronco, too.

If all those options are still too tame for your tastes, perhaps the Ducati 1199 Panigale, the mag's motorcycle of choice, is more up to speed. Have a gander at the full list of winners in the press release below.

I had to lol at the cover. Cigars? Jewels? Yachts? Robb Report should change its name to Pretentious D-bag Monthly.

Ducati 1199 Panigale? Anyone who follows sport bikes closely will tell you that the reviews & tests of the 1199 Panigale haven't been quite what everyone was expecting. "After a poor showing on the street, it shouldn’t come as a surprise the ultra-focused Ducati placed third, scoring 86.1%. It is, without a doubt, a very exciting motorcycle when ridden in the right context. Unfortunately this window of opportunity is very limited. Revs must be high and the road must be smooth and curvaceous to extract all it has to offer However, we did give it top billing in the brake, technology, instruments, fit & finish, appearance, and cool factor categories. But factoring the reasons mentioned earlier and its highest price tag of the three – $17,995 for the standard version; $22,995 for our S model test bike – and the Ducati’s fate was set in scorecard stone.." -[Motorcycle dot com shootout between BMW S1000RR, Aprilia’s RSV4 R APRC] Then again, price I'm sure is the one reason behind it making it to the top of Robb Report's list. They are like a Consumer Reports for "dumb" rich people.

It should be "best status symbols" or something like that instead. You couldn't come up with a better list of cars for rich d-bags if you tried. I won't say it isn't a great car or comment on whether it is deserving of the title or not but a Lambo of some form has always been the favorite car of every poser who knows nothing about cars but likes to act like they do. Its such a generic favorite, like the New York Yankees or Rolling Stones of supercars.
