Like it or not, we're all guilty of falling into the traps laid for us by stereotypes. For example, if we were to say the phrase "Porsche owner," odds are you'd have a very specific type of individual in mind... and that individual would likely look nothing like Magnus Walker.

Walker is a thoroughbred car guy with an incomparable passion for the 911. As a clothing entrepreneur, he's about as far from the typical 911 owner as it gets. When he isn't racing or designing, he's piecing old Porsche models back together for another shot at life.

His stated goal is to collect one of every 911 between built between 1964 and 1973, and so far, he's only missing the youngest of that group. Walker says he's owned over 40 of the cars in his time as a collector, and it's clear he has the kind of passion that keeps this industry spinning.

Tamir Moscovici has worked up a short film on Walker called "Urban Outlaw." Scroll down to check out the trailer for yourself.

64 to 72? To say he has good taste in Porsches would be a major understatement.

Nice collection, he seems to invested years of time and effort into Porsche cars. I don't see why the article describes him as 'World's most unlikely 911collector'.

I've met and hung out with Magnus -- He is THE #1 coolest car guy any of us will have the pleasure to meet. A truly dedicated enthusiasts who simply digs this hobby and sharing it with others like him. No airs, no BS. We should *all* be so lucky to have "a Magnus" in our personal circle of car obsessives.

I really enjoyed that clip. Emotionally honest and you could feel his passion. Makes me want to ride in a Porsche to see what I might be missing.

trent,..get yerself a used one,...and just like this dude,..preferably an "air-cooled" one,..and you'll see what all the fuss is about!,...porsche unfortunately nowadays keeps, at least to me, "diluting down" what made them so remarkable to begin with,..i mean, the newest one,...however good it is!,..[the 991 generation], basically, sadly, just a sort of gussied-up grand tourer now,...doesn't have the raw quality that made the old ones so fun, and yes,..more than a little dangerous!,...but at least the freakin' company still gives you the option of a manual, there is that!...get a bargain basement older 911,..and join the club,..[ literally,..the porsche club!,'ll meet a lot of amazing, fun folks,..and get to put your car thru it's paces,..for a very nominal fee!,'s great fun!],...hope to see ya out at the track!

Man, that is a beautiful car collection! Seems like a pretty chill guy, with good taste. I like his name too (my cat is named Magnus!)

I wonder what he does for a living to afford a hobby like this?

I met this guy this years ago. He owned a building across the street from my furniture design studio. I had no idea what he had in the bottom floor of his studio, though! Really nice guy, if it isn't already obvious from the video.
