BMW has posted two teasers to YouTube, previewing M Performance versions of both the M3 and M5. These look to be specially produced for the UK market, and limited to just 30 units of each model in either red, white or blue.

Little information accompanies the low-res videos, saving that each of the cars is being fitted with "an impressively high specification of standard equipment" and that the 30 cars will be split up into 10 of each color. All three hues will feature BMW's "frozen" paint, the matte finish we're familiar with from the 2011 M3 Frozen Gray Coupe.

Scroll down to watch both videos and their accompanying dubstep soundtracks.

2 seconds into the first video, I hit mute. Unfortunately, since the fact that Dubstep completely sucks hasn't killed it, we have to wait for the trend to pass on its own. Hopefully all the kids realize sooner than later that it needs to die.

Not enough M's, just order the emblems and put it around your car.

This is like that Xzibit meme..."yo dawg, we heard you like M cars. So we put an M in your M. So you can M while you M! Oh, and also added an extra M badge to the existing M badge" Wish they made more than 30, though as the last hurrah for this car. I'd love to own a more powerful factory E92 M3.

The M" used to mean something but now is liberally applied across the model range on anything with a slightly-sportier-than-standard spec. The fact that BMW now believes they need to use the M twice to designate something special is a clear sign that they've seriously, and foolishly, diluted the value of the "M" sub-brand.

BMW just wants more of your M-Money. I am sure the target audience will lap it up, because everybody knows two Ms are better than one!

Will the looks change? Do they ever? I thought they were afraid of other cars competing against the numbered M's? Unless the M3 gets a major performance increase, why would I want to get a regular "M" 3 series? After all I'd already get the 335i x-drive anyways.... If anything should be a generic M, the 335XI should be it since I feel it competes with the M3 and has to have open differentials to keep it from being too serious.

Let me get this straight, BMW comes out with a performance edition of the M3 and the M5 (two of the greatest cars in the world) and you have a problem with that? Yet, I go on the blogs about chevy releasing an SS sedan, and dodge coming out with an SRT SUV and you guys love it. Stop being so bloody biased and look at the cars for what they actually are, not what colour or what badge is on them. The whole american car market is diluted with shitty brand names for technology thats been around in european cars for decades. Kudos to bmw for almost beating audi in units sold to date, and for entering the DTM series this season

BMW's tag line is "The Ultimate driving machine" So the M cars are the "Ultimate Ultimate Driving Machine" now there's a range topper too that so I guess that's the "Ultimate, Ultimate, ULTIMATE Driving Machine"?

"Two of the greatest cars in the world" That's a bold statement!! M cars are great but they are living in the past as the last M5 got destroyed by the Audi RS6. The M3 is a fat pig that was destroyed by the Ford Mustang boss 302. I'm not a domestic fan by any means but keep your ridiculous biased statements to yourself and stop talking **** about a poorly assembled low quality bucket from BMW. Ohhh the new M5 will also be playing catchup to the new Audi RS 6. Please go sell ur toys r us interior amd poseur vehicle in for something with some soul.
