The AMG division of Mercedes-Benz has attracted two million views on YouTube. That's as if every single person in Boston, Las Vegas, Long Beach and St. Louis stopped what they were doing and clicked the left mouse button to get a video fix on a three-pointed star and quad pipes.

To thank its fans, AMG put a C63 AMG at the top of the corkscrew at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, then drifted it all the way down. Looks like fun. All you have to do is scroll down to watch the recognition.

Am I the only one who watch this video solely to see him drift the corkscrew? And by the way, the editing SUCKS. They make a drift video, then change the cameras angles a half-dozen times during each drift so you can't see him drift. That turned out to be a waste of time...

Mazda can still afford to keep it's name at Laguna Seca??

Didn't even need to see anything, that amazing sound was enough for me.

Watching that video reminded me of what it's like to fart in the shower.... An awesome thing ruined. Well maybe that metaphor was a little extreme but that video was surprisingly boring.

If this car is anything like the e63, it's not nearly as fun as they make it look on video. Spent quite a bit of time with the e63 amg, and while it was a great all around car, it was no fun. Even with all driving aids turned off, the computer still steps in. And paddle shifters suck, i consider that fact. I'll take the less technologically advanced ctsV any day.

The XKR-S is over twice the price of the C63.... and the porsche is just about over 20 grand more.

A car with a huge motor that can't put the power down is a tale; Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.

Is it just me or did he just totally screw up the "wet" line by putting rubber on the whole @#$ track?

Was it an excellent drift? I'm not an expert in drifting, but that's not how I saw it done in Formula D.

I'm surprised the car lets you do that with paddle shifters. At lower speed, I bet its a different story trying to step the tail out with a bunch of computerized nannies.

Apart from downshifting, it's darn snappy (read: responsive) for an automatic with a wet clutch torque converter (MCT). Plus V8 torque will do that too... and ESP is defeatable.
