      DINK here, adding a kid in the summer, spent a saturday in a 911 on the track last month, and have a Prius v on order. You'd probably shouldn't assume that everyone that bought a certain car is the exact same person. The v is awesome, IMO, because the torque split device is super simple and efficient (appeals to my engineer side) and it is massive inside (future dad, mountain biker side). The v starts at $26k, btw, and is very nicely equipped at $30k (nav, LED headlights, etc), btw. The $36k model has radar cruise and all sorts of extra stuff that is far beyond what a normal person will "require".
