A Chinese Porsche Boxster driver is in trouble for using toothpaste to avoid the law. The owner used the cavity-preventing goo to change the 1s on his license plates to 7s. This ended up attracting the attention of Qingdao police, who thought the 7s didn't look right.

The owner will be able to reflect on his mistake over some long walks: he was fined 2,200 yuan ($349 USD) and got six points taken off his licence. Since he only had six points left to give, he won't be driving for a while.

bEND PLATE A LITTLE--AS IF THE CARWASH MACHINE ACCIDENTLY HOOKED INTO IT. OR DIRT ARTFULLY SMEARED, OR A PIECE OF TAPE ACCIDENTLY HANGING OFF. AS LONG IT DOESNT LOOK DELIBERATE YOU'RE OK THEN DENY DENY PLEAD IGNORANCE. DO NOT USE SPRAY OR PLATE COVER

Just maybe this Porsche driver was trying to drive in the city on a day he wasn't allowed to (they apparently have restricted days where you cannot drive in the city). For example, if you own a number plate ending in a 1 (like this dweeb) you might not be allowed to drive on a Friday......this might be the explanation that explains such daft behaviour.....

I did that once, painted the new year's license plate color onto the previous year's plate and went to the bars. Those were the good old days. Now, I've just hack sawed the front plate's top and bottom, so it goes on my Ferrari without looking like a stupid American phone book. State statute only calls for 12" width- not height of plate.

In Az where I currently reside they would bust you for such a thing. We seem to enjoy passing the most ridiculous of laws including one that allows an officer who is either bored or just a dick to pull over and site anyone with any portion of the plate obstructed. This means they decided, after about 3 months of passing this absurd law, to crack down and pull over any and everyone with even those littlw plate covers the dealerships putt on the car to advertise there name. The plate covers would block about 1/4 inch of the very lower portion of the plate with nothing written on it at all. This seems to be how this state has decided to increase revenue to pad or assist the lacking budget. We seem to enjoy harassing honest citizens like this to get money for dumb **** like Gov. Jan Brewers lawsuite to stop the medical marijuana law voted in by 79% of the voters that after a year and who knows how much of the states money was tossed out by a judge who flat out said it was just a stupid attempt to prevent what the voters have decided to allow and should never had been filed. She was forced by the courts to cut the **** and start doing her job and follow through with props voted into law by the very people who vote and gave her the job.

He already commited a crime when he altered his plates. So, he was already a criminal, and yes it was stupid.

"he won't be driving for a while." This is China, all he needs to do is slip the judge some money and he will be driving in no time.
